Summary: I great but still...
Review: I bought this DVD a while ago and I have seen online clips and during months I was really looking foward to the release of this DVD but when I saw it on my TV last month for the first time, I don't know, I just thought that something was missing from a Kylie Concert.

The costumes were amazing and glamour was all around on the concert, but I must say that this concert is not an easy seller as the LIVE IN SYDNEY is. The preview concert is predictable. She is "Dance Kylie" and she didn't dare as much as she did in this one. The thing is, Kylie decieded to go to a more artistic concert instead of doing the "DANCE KYLIE" again! And the good thing is that she goes back at the "Impossible Princess" project and sung amazing songs!

What I didn't like in the concert is the fact that was filmed in Manchester and I did get the vibe that the Manchester audience is really cold, because even in dance tracks they were just clapping! Unlike what many people say, the fact that the other conceert was shoot in Sydney, her homeland and the fact that Sydney is a warmer croud... probably thats why we saw the audience moving a lot more in Sydney!

The new "sound" of old classics is one thing that I love about this concert. The Loco-Motion using kind of a sexy prince style was brilliant, make part of In Your Eyes latin and the trance sound in I Should be So Lucky is just killer! AMAZING

Summary: Good show, mediocre DVD
Review: As a Kylie's fan I'm a bit dissapointed with this DVD. First of all, I expected with this one an improved experience than the previous DVD KYLIE LIVE IN SYDNEY wich, by the way, is excellent. Don't get me wrong, Live in Manchester is a great concert with amazing visual concepts like SPINNING AROUND's Droogie Nights theme, taken from the movie A Clockwork Orange for example.

Now the things I didn't like:

- No DTS track. On the contrary, the DTS from LIVE IN SYDNEY is superb.

- The Dolby Digital 5.1 track is the worst I've ever hear on a concert with almost no bass or "punch" in it, the sound is almost flat. Again, this one can't match the wonderful surround sound and powerful bass from LIVE IN SYDNEY.

- The incredible slow version of THE LOCO-MOTION sounds weird!.

- I've expected a more spectacular finale with CAN'T GET (BLUE MONDAY*) OUT WITH MY HEAD, but instead you get a "regular" and unispired performance of this smashing hit. *The remix version from ther FEVER SPECIAL EDITION CD is much, much better.

Anyway if you like Kylie Minogue LIVE IN MANCHESTER is a must.

Summary: I've caught the fever!
Review: I've been a huge Kylie fan for about 3 years now and I own almost all of her imports plus the stuff she's released here. Personally I liked Live In Sydney better, but this is good stuff too. It's a lot different from Live in Sydney but it's not a bad thing, I guess I jus gotta watch it more then it'll grow on me. Go out and buy this DVD if you're a fan!

Summary: Who are you, and what have you done with Kylie?
Review: Anyone who has seen and enjoyed Kylie in Sidney will be sorely disappointed with this disaster. To begin with, the amateurish lighting and camera effects completely overwhelm the show. What does get through is dismal choreography and worse costumes. The only thing worse yet is the sound. The mix puts the instruments way out front, burying Kylie. Her backup singers, who usually weave a vital texture around Kylie's singing are barely audible when you can hear them at all. Kylie lacks her usual energy, sleep-walking through the performance like she really wants to be somewhere else or is fighting a flu. You keep waiting for her to let loose, but she never does. The arrangements on her stock hits ... and the new material is soporific. This is the first time I have ever seen a first-rate singer do bad covers of her own material. My guess is that the producers took over this show and wouldn't let Kylie be Kylie.

Summary: Outstanding!
Review: I really like this dvd. I own also the other dvd: Kylie Live in Sydney, which I also like very much. These two dvds are very very different, simply put, it is hard to believe how Kylie changed, which also shows her creativity and talent. The first dvd (in Sydney) is very emotional, involving, with dancing audience, but also sort of outback, too simple and straightforward and sort of 80-ish. I like it a lot. But, seemingly unlike other people, I was thinking al the time: too bad she is dancing, because she can't move. The second dvd (in Manchester) is very different. Kylie does not dance much (just enough), but she really can move now. Obviously, she has being working out and looks sensational. The style is so different that I did not like the Manchester dvd at first, completely sharing all the negative comments of other reviewers. But then I watched it again, open minded, so to speak, and recognize the very same Kylie as on the first dvd, relaxed and enjoying herself very much. Outstanding concert. Great new (unusual) versions of old songs. A lot of style and class (in this area).

Summary: Awesome concert!
Review: I read everyone's review of this DVD before I bought it. A few of them were not too positive. But when I saw it, I couldn't keep my eyes off the screen! Kylie looks spectacular and her voice....her voice is in PERFECT form! Anyone who doesn't think she can sing should see the "Crying Game" sequence in this show. This concert is much bigger in scope than her previous Light Years tour (Live in Sydney). The Sydney show was smaller and more intimate so her fans were dancing and totally into the show. KylieFever2002 is in a bigger place so the compaint that the fans weren't having any fun is just BS. Yes, it's true that Kylie doesn't move much, but I didn't feel like it took away from the show. By the second half she's all over the stage.

What I enjoyed most about this show is the music's new arrangement. Every song has this new, refreshing sound to it. Check out "Come Into My World", "Shocked", "Cowboy Style", and "Lucky" just as an example. The ballad section featuring "The Crying Game", "Put Yourself In My Place" and "Finer Feelings" is beautiful. She is so majestic in that segment and the music sounds awesome.

This show is the natural follow-up to her Light Years show. It is simply spectacular! Any Kylie fan MUST own this!

Review: I cannot tell you how happy I am that Kylie has hit the USA (again) and become a smash! I've loved her for quite a few years now and i'm glad to see she's catching on here. This concert is just an example of why's shes a megastar everywhere else... Although previous reviews are correct, she doesn't seem to do too much dancing or movement, this is still an amazing show. The special effects, the energy of the music, combined with Kylie's live singing show what an outstanding artist she really is. Im glad this was released in the USA, shows us what we're missing out on...

Summary: BRILLIANT!
Review: I saw this show in Sydney - and anyone who knows Kylie and her music will be blown away by the sheer magic. I dont want to spoil it if you havent seen it - but the production is 1st rate - and Kylie never looked or sounded better than she does in this concert. GET IT.

Summary: Kylie - Could Be Better
Review: I don't think this was that great of a DVD, no matter how much I love Kylie. Sure she's hot, she can sing, and I want to marry her (along with Mariah Carey), but this just wasn't that impressive. I would have liked to see her dance a bit more than she did. She does move one arm a lot, but that's kinda boring and does get kind of annoying. The editing was kind of cheesy and the dancers are very weird. I think they need a DVD with Kylie's videos like "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" which is a great video (I've mastered the dance moves in it). I think it would be fun to see Kylie in person, but it wasn't that exciting just watching it on this DVD. You should buy it if you're a Kylie fan, but that's it. Maybe they'll have a different and better one someday! For now, stick to the music Kylie makes, it's better than this DVD. Check out "Live In Sydney" by Kylie, it's a better DVD. Enjoy!

Summary: I've been bitten by the bug
Review: Have you ever been mesmerized by an eclectic work of art? If you are the type of person who seems to be inspired by something different, then this concert is a definite buy.

However, for a few people who were disappointed, (It's not that I blame them for doing so, different folks have different strokes) I think they are the ones who wanted Kylie to be as constant and predictable as possible. They might have been offended by the choreography or the outfits of the dancers. They might even find it boring. But on the other side of the spectrum, I, for instance, have found this concert totally artistic and vibrant. Its like a spectacular painting that has come to life.

So its either you love it or you hate it. Kylie represents so many things, and this concert in particular wraps up all of it. I mean don't expect it to be perfect, But expect to get the best from the pop diva.

To sum up the good points:
1. Kylie looks, sings and dances gorgeously.
2. The music sounds so GREAT ,and in my opinion, even better than the CD tracks
3. You gotta see the stage sets and the musical numbers
4. Kylie gives a warm and heartfelt performance.
5. You'll definitely feel the fever

On the downside:
1. It won't impress people who doesn't seem to have an open mind for artwork or the people who think that concerts have to be of the usual type.

My verdict. 4.5 out of 5 stars, (Watching the concert unfold before your very eyes is like a box of chocolates- You'll never know what you'll get.)
