Summary: Makes up for the missing songs!!!!!!!!!!!Simply Great!!!!!!!
Review: This DVD is a must have for every U2 fan since it captures the essence of the whole decade in one DVD. I bought it with the intention of archiving it in my library with other U2 DVDs so that years and years from now I can look back to the whole decade of U2 in one DVD. It has all the missing great songs like "Please", 'The Fly','Who's gonna ride your wil'd horses'. There are many different versions of some of the songs. My favorite stand out tracks are "Gone" from Pop Mart(this songs blows me away in every version they have performed so far), Until the end of the world (Zoo TV), heck they are all great. The only bad song in this album is "Mofo"(Pop Mart). My God!!! This song was butchered so badly in Pop mart with no The Edge solo at the end, no soaring vocals at the end by Bono. It sounded like a happy-go-lucky pop song which is quite opposite to what it is on the album. "Staring at the sun" has two versions as well. All in all, this is a great DVD with all the great stuff a relatively new U2 fan (1997 onwards) did not get a chance to enjoy. Rest assured, it has everything you could ever ask from U2 in the decade 1990-2000. Enjoy!!!!

Summary: WOW! This is one awesome DVD!
Review: This DVD is designed to go along with the band's second greatest hits collection of the same name, and features the video for every song on the album. Some of these videos feature concert footage from the Zoo TV and Popmart tours, and others are all original ideas. U2 proves to be one of the most visually pleasing bands when it comes to making videos, as every one of the videos on this disc is absolutely amazing. The sound quality is excellent, and the picture is good. The videos feature commentary tracks from the directors, and there are seven bonus videos that are added to the sixteen from the album. The DVD packaging is nice also, and features a full color pamphlet insert with a paragraph about each one of the videos featured. And what's this? An extra space is added to hold the DVD that came with the limited edition of the CD counterpart! Very clever! Great DVD.

Summary: Complete picture of U2 in the '90s
Review: This DVD is flawless. Its definately an improvement on the limited edition 2CD version which had adulterated versions and unnecessary techno remixes. This is really a complete collection. At first glance, I thought it only had the 16 music videos listed on the box. Not only does this DVD have bonus videos such as Whose Gonna Ride, Please and Lemon, it has 3 documentaries, director commentaries for almost every video and even alternate video versions for songs such as the fantastic One, Staring At The Sun, Stuck In A Moment among others. My favorite videos here are the Berlin version of One, Numb, Stay, Even Better Than The Real Thing and The Fly. The documentary, 'The Story Of One' is really well made too. I dont know if I'm ever going to get tired of this collection. Totally worth the price!

Summary: Great collection, but it still needs more
Review: This DVD is great - we finally have all of their videos from 1990-2000 (especially the clips from ZOOROPA and POP which I'd previously seen once or twice). That said, it could have been a whole lot better - U2 should have gathered every single video they've made in their career and put it out (The Best Of 1980-1990 video collection still hasn't been released on DVD, and even though they came out in 2001, the videos for "Elevation" and "Walk On" weren't included) Like I said this DVD is great but here's what should have been:U2: The Complete Videos DVD 1:

Review: This DVD provides a wild reminder of just how far U2 went in the 1990s to demolish the "serious," "earnest," and "spiritual" labels that had been affixed to them in the 80s. Sure, their 90s songs still reveal Bono's ongoing conversations with God and his concern for a host of societal ills, but most of the videos accompanying those songs mask the serious subject matter in a dizzying bacchanalia of mirror balls, belly dancers and giant lemons. Consider, for example, "Until the End of the World." The lyrics describe a conversation between Judas and Jesus, but the video finds Bono engaging in some wild pelvic thrusting during a ZOO TV concert. Or what about "Even Better Than the Real Thing"? Christianity Today magazine suggested that this song might be about the Holy Spirit - but the bonus "Dance Mix" video finds the members of U2 partying in the streets with a bunch of gyrating transvestites. Whoah. "The Joshua Tree" this ain't. Still, as mentioned above, U2's 90s albums explored dark, serious, and spiritual themes in spite of their decadent wrapping. The band's earnest, serious side isn't totally absent from this DVD, as evidenced by the excellent videos for "Please" (a rarely seen gem directed by Anton Corbijn), "Miss Sarajevo" and "Staring at the Sun." The "Missing Sarajevo" documentary also serves as a thought-provoking interlude. As has been noted in other reviews, this release has TONS of great content and is really worth the money. In addition to 23 songs (several of which have alternate videos), there are three short documentaries, and optional director's commentaries for almost every track. Listening to an assortment of self-absorbed European filmmakers talk about their work could potentially be tedious, but the commentaries are actually quite entertaining. The best moment comes when French director Stephane Sednaoui bursts into fits of laughter at the sight of U2 in Village People costumes during the "Discotheque" video. The packaging is nice, too, with an extra space for the "History Mix" DVD that came with the Best of 1990-2000 double CD set. Finally, for those of you who were disappointed with the track listing for the CD, this DVD is a great solution. It features a "play all videos without introductions" option that lets you play all 23 songs in order. You don't even need to have your TV on to enjoy this DVD... just play it through your system like a CD, and you'll get this track listing: 1. Even Better Than the Real Thing, 2. Review: This is a really good album and the new songs that they put on here are really cool. The only thing I didnt care for were a couple of the new re-mixes but over time Im sure they might grow on me but otherwise i am happy that I bought it!

Summary: Absolutely awesome
Review: This is a truly must have for any U2 fan! I loved how many videos and extras were on this DVD. It's such a surreal trip into the whole U2 experience. I really enjoyed watching it and would recommend it to anyone who is in love with U2 as much as I am. Even for new fans,,this is a great collection to get them more into the whole thing. Watch this video and you will be hooked for sure because they are the best band of the 80's, 90's, and new millennium. This is a totally brilliant collection of their best stuff.

Review: This is one of the better DVDs that collects a bands videos. Being a bit of a geek I like the director commentaries and Documentaries and alternate versions.
I found the disc a bit hard to navigate at times.
The classic U2 videos are all there but I am quite smitten with "Electrical Storm" which features Larry Mullen Jr (usually hiding in the back somewhere)and Samantha Morton portraying a couple.

Summary: Beautiful Videos
Review: U2 has made some of the best and most inventive videos in history and The Best of 1990-2000 shows some of their finest moments. The original version of "One" is one of the most powerful videos of the 90's and it amply conveys the weight of the song's message about AIDS. The disk provides the capability to view director's cuts of videos and director commentary which is a nice addition and makes for a more interesting viewing of the videos. If you are a fan of U2, then this disk is a must own, but one wonders why they didn't release a Best of 1980-1990 dvd collection in conjunction with that greatest hits cd. You can only hope that this disk is a success and they release one so the U2 video catalogue would be complete.
