Summary: I WAS QUITE DISAPPOINTED IN THE SOUND QUALITY OF THIS DVD.
Review: NEIL DIAMOND'S DVD GREATEST HITS LACK THE PUNCH OF SUPREME DIGITAL SOUND AND FALLS WAY SHORT OF THE MARK. THE QUALITY OF THE PICTURE IS GOOD BUT THE SURROUND SOUND IS LESS THAN SPECTACULAR. THIS DVD SHOULD HAVE BEEN REMIXED WITH DOLBY 5.1 TO GIVE THE VIEWER A REAL CONCERT EXPERIENCE.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: As expected, over his top, but still going strong.
Review: Neil has given us better concerts in his earlier years, but for a real fan this DVD is a must.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Neil Diamond! Need I say more?
Review: Neil is a class act and to see him in a more intimate setting where he is more able to interact with the audience is wonderful! Neil is a MUST SEE act! This is a MUST OWN for any Neil fan!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A "must have" video for real Neil Diamond fans
Review: Not his very best video, but close to the top. Any performance from Neil is worth watching. His dynamic stage presence is well represented in this one. Maybe not the best technically, but the heart and soul of a Neil concert is very much present. This video is essential to round out your "Neil collection" of videos.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent Example Of Diamond's Legendary Performance Style
Review: This DVD is indeed in Dolby 5.1. As a previous reviewer mentioned, it defaults to Dolby PCM but can quickly be changed in the AUDIO menu of the DVD.

The audio and video on this DVD are extremely well done. The sound is better - than - CD quality and the performance was edited to perfection. The crew truly captured the concert in its entirety: Neil, crowd, band, and lights. The different camera angels work to further enhance this divine display of talent.

As for the concert, Diamond once again poured out his heart and soul for his beloved fans who couldn't contain themselves on such rocking numbers as "I'm Alive" and "Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show." It is clear from this performance, as it has been through all of his songs and other concerts, that the fans ARE his life.

Neil is at his best in this show, belting out beautiful slow tunes as well as spine - chilling renditions of his more vivacious hits. His medley tribute to John Lennon consistently brings tears to my eyes when I watch it. We get a REAL treat when he sings "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" with Linda Press, his female vocalist. They are perfect together. Their amazing chemistry translates into a version of the song that is superior to his duet with Barbra Steisand.

Here's the bottom line: If you get the slightest bit of joy from listening to one of Neil's songs, you HAVE to buy this DVD.

Summary: Neil Diamond can still jam as he did 30 years ago.
Review: This is a great concert on DVD. I just saw Neil at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in the Houston Astrodome this past week. That alone was worth coming for. haha. He had all the cowboys dancing in their seats.
It was really cool to see Michele Lee from televison's Knots Landing dancing on this DVD. I don't think it was a look alike. Look for her especially in the song Cherry Cherry.
The DVD needed to have more of Neil's songs on it.

Summary: Neil Diamond leaves you wanting more!
Review: This performance is classic Neil Diamond, with the energentic performance of a consumate professional. It's a splendid mix of high energy rock and touching ballads. Of special note is the spellbinding delivery of "Brother Love's...",which leaves one wondering why Neil hasn't done more acting. I highly recommend this DVD, and hope to see more such performances available on DVD from Neil.
