Review: Ever wonder what it's like to be in "Sammy's World"? This DVD gives you that glimpse into what really goes on before, during, and after a national tour. It's got all the songs you would expect to see, but this DVD is more about the man and his life than just another concert video. It's obvious how much this DVD meant to Sammy. His whole family shows up half way through it discussing how Sammy got to where he is today. The additional undercurrent of the Sam and David Lee Roth tour, and all its pageantry, makes a great story for even the non-Sammy believer.
The bonus disc is a surprise. Recently many of the classic rockers have been releasing their old music videos as DVD's. Sammy could have done that with his library as a separate release, but he included it in this package as a bonus disc, as well as his entire discography, a trivia game, and old archival footage. Hours of extra viewing that adds up to a DVD that the true fan can't help but smile about. Buy Sammy's Birthday Bash DVD 2001 Tour to see Sammy's concert. Buy The Long Road to Cabo to see Sammy's heart.

Summary: Outstanding!!! Muy Bueno!
Review: I have been a huge fan of SH for many years...had the opportunity to catch the San Francisco Filmore shows backstage last year. I met and chatted with guitarist Vic Johnson (very cool and down to earth) and briefly shook hands with Sammy. The whole evening was amazing.

The DVD reminds me of that night, and so much more.

If you're already a "Redhead", you know that the man is all about his fans. It is great to see the behind the scenes stuff, along with the expected rock and roll cliches (booze, babes, trash-talking) Michael Anthony's presence is a huge plus. The bonus material on disc two is fun and insightful (gotta love the vintage footage!)

A must-own for all Sammy fans.

Review: I have been a huge Sammy Hagar fan for years. I was lucky enough to meet Sammy & Kari in Cabo a couple of years ago. The best thing about Sammy is that he is so genuine. It is so obvious that he loves his fans as much as his fans love him. I highly recommend The Long Road to Cabo. The DVD is an amazing compilation of backstage footage, interviews with friends & family, footage of Sammy with his band, family, friends & fans, concert footage, etc, etc, etc. Thanks to Sammy & the Waboritas for an awesome DVD!

Summary: The Long Road to Cabo - A Journey by Sammy Hagar
Review: If you want to "get it", you'll get this DVD. If you saw the Birthday Bash DVD, you know what gets to Sammy. This DVD starts where the Birthday Bash leaves off. It is the same s!#% on some other level. It is so honest and raw. Gary Cherone tells us he is the real deal. His wife Kari tells us about it when she describes how he fell in love with her. Sammy himself talks about it when he is talking about how David Lee Roth's tour bus hit some poor fan's car.
This DVD really does put it all together for you. Its not the aliens who are moving Sammy Hagar. It's what dreams are made of, it comes walking in, it's in three lock box, I could go on and on....

The only thing that would make this DVD any more personal and pure would be the commentary from his beautiful daughters, Kama and Samantha to show the side of Sammy out of the mouths of babes.

In my opinion, if this DVD were put in front of true critics, it would be worthy of an oscar - - for a musician.

What is understood, need not be discussed.

Summary: Great DVD!
Review: Sammy did a great job putting this together. Plenty of clips from the last tour in which he demolished Dave every night. But this DVD shows him with Michael Anthony and the rest of his band having a great time on and off the stage. The second disc is great too. His solo videos are here including the great live video of "Baby's On Fire." Also included are commentaries on the making of each video. Any Sammy or VH fan should pick this up....it is definately worth it. Thanks Sammy!

Summary: Are you kidding me?!?!?!
Review: Sammy just "gets it". This is the perfect mix of music and all that goes into making it. The man's personality shines through and you can tell he is totally enjoying life. We should all be so lucky! If you are a casual fan or a Redhead...this is the thing to buy!!! Mas Tequila, baby!
