Review: I think she was fabulous...I had never seen her perform, live or in dvd/taped. Although there were some takes where I wanted to see more closeups and the camera more still on her, I was still satisfied. I didn't pay attention to "technicalities" of her lips being off sync and other minor "specs". I truly enjoyed this video because I truly enjoy her music. I listen to her work because of her beautiful voice and the melody of her songs. So what if she's not showing navel...she's an adult, a performer with class and good taste. You want navel...tune into B. Spears....no class, no taste, yes navel!
Kudos to SADE and her band! --A very pleased spectator.

Summary: Sade puts on a great show once again
Review: Sade does all the hits except "Hang Onto Your Love". She even jams on cuts from her latest album "Lover's Rock". There is a bonus clip featuring India.arie who was the opening act on this tour with Sade. This is a must have for Sade fans and funky jazz-soul music lovers alike. Awesome!!!!!!

Review: Being a fan of Sade, I already have most of her material on cd so i purchased the dvd to be entertained by seeing her, I was exspecting to sit and sizzle!!! I have seen her on S.N.L.and She always wears Bare midriff outfits(Rubies in her navel ect But i am sorry to say i was dissappointed by Her wearing School-Marm clothes!!(such a waste)Boo-Hoo! so only 4 stars to one of my favorites

Review: If you didn't get to see Sade live in concert in 2001, have no fear-this dvd is what you need. And even if you did see them-buy it anyway. You'll feel excitement, as if you were really there. I have no real problems with this DVD (or with the concert for that matter). It offers the concert in full, plus a glimpse backstage for the Lady and for the Band, just before a concert. There are pictures to look at, the entire "King Of Sorrow" video, and the part I've only watched once, the "Message to Sade". It is, as you can tell from the title, lucky suckers that got to have a message to Sade taped and seen by the Lady herself. Of course, there's a guy who proposed, and a guy who recited poetry, and some kids who said nothing at all. It's basically a nice little package all wrapped up in a portable plastic box. I had no technical problems or anything with the DVD itself, so here are two thumbs up. Buy the Lovers Live DVD. Live happy.

Summary: Sade-The most amazing singer/songwriter-So Eloquent
Review: If you are on this page looking at DVD's of Sade, you are probaby a fan already and know what you are in for. If you are new to the music of Sade, then this DVD is a must have; especially if you havn't seen any of her concerts.
Sade sings a lot of signature songs like "Cherry Pie", (my favorite), "Smooth Operator", "Your Love is King", "Love Deluxe" and many more. Recent songs of course, from the cd "Lover's Rock" are just as amazing and true to Sade style. When I say "Sade Style" what I mean is that; soulful, eloquent and most of all, love songs that could make you feel as if you were on cloud nine. She embraces her fans as she would her own child, with tenderness, care and sweetness. A classy DVD concert, from the classy band "Sade"
put it in your DVD player, light some candles and turn off the
lights, and get ready for the emotional high of a lifetime!!!

Summary: I was blown away...
Review: This DVD is superb. Sade is enchanting in every sense of the word: sexy, sultry, with a voice that will make you melt. The grooves backing her up are a perfect match, one made in heaven without a doubt. I received this as a gift because I had been wanting for so long to have some Sade in my life, and this really blew me away. Better than buying the audio CD version of this same concert and even a better investment (if a perfect complement) of Sade's "Lover's Rock" album, this DVD is magic. My favorite performances, all delivered with great joy and passion, are: Cherish The Day, Your Love Is King, Somebody Already Broke My Heart, Cherry Pie, Smooth Operator, Jezebel, Kiss Of Life, Sweetest Taboo, Lovers Rock, King Of Sorry, No Ordinary Love and By Your Side. Sade sing and dances hear rear-end off in some of these performances, and it's a pure joy to watch. If you like Sade, I recommend this with my eyes closed... if not, check it out, you might be surprised what a great performer she is! I adore the direction she's going in, more influenced by electronica, a bit ala Everything But The Girl. Amazing!

Summary: Where's the DTS track!
Review: Like a couple of other reviewers, I've purchased a copy that was labled with DTS emblems on both the box, and the disc. I raced home excited to hear the concert only to be very very disappointed because there is NO DTS TRACK ANYWHERE ON THE DISC!!!!!! and to make matters worse, the stereo track is in dolby 2 channel instead of PCM. This is very deceiving! those of us that are DTS fans, look for the DTS label and many times, that label pushes us to make our purchase decision. For those who are unaware, DTS uses lower compression and doesn't mix channels, so the sound is cleaner(for those familiar with mp3, it's like the differance between a file compressed at 192kbps vs. one that's compressed at 256 or above). DTS also doesn't over boost the bass track like Dolby does(this isn't so bad for movies, but in music, accuracy would be perferable to mega bass; for most of us anyway). Also, I've been to Sony & Sade's site, and there is nothing anywhere that says anything about the mislabeling!

Summary: An Incredible Concert DVD!!!
Review: I was very impressed with the DVD, "Lovers Live" by the incomparable Sade. Sade and her bandmates performed all of their greatest hits as well as material from her latest album, "Lovers Rock." Sade never fails to disappoint, and this was my first opportunity to see her sing live. Her voice is just as velvety smooth as it is on her CDs! Along with the almost two hours of concert footage, there are also some behind-the-scenes moments that people in the audience never got to see. I would highly suggest this DVD to any fan of Sade, but I would also suggest it to people who have a great love of incredible music and would like to just sit back, relax, and enjoy one of the greatest bands, and singers, in the world!!! You will not be disappointed!!!!
