Summary: Best Concert DVD I have ever seen
Review: This is the best concert I have ever seen recorded. The songs are incredible, the musicianship is incredible, the band and the orchestra are incredibly tight. The orchestral arrangements are great, and fit in perfectly with the music. I can listen and watch this concert every night. The versions on Close To The Edge, Starship Troopers, Gates of Delirium, and Ritual all blow me away.It is also one of the few concerts where the camera actually stays on the musician soing solos, although it would be nice to have some extended cuts from one camera (more than 5 seconds). My wife had never heard of Yes. After viewing this DVD, they have become her favorite album, and she is forcing me to send this to all our friends and family whenever a birthday present is called for. If you want any concert from the 70's progressive era, this is it. Highly recommended.

Summary: EXCELENT HARMONY !!!!!!!
Review: I'm a Yes's fan from 20 years later. This concert is a perfect concept of musical harmony between one Group and a Sympnonic Orchestra. The sound (DTS) of this DVD is incredible!! and the image was do it perfectly.
This is the better Yes Concert in DVD. Really is an ideal inversion. Although Rick Wakeman (the Best!!) was absent, Tom Brislin serve a good place.

Review: No Yes fan should even think about not owning this.

I saw the show in London on this tour and it was truly awe-inspiring. To have this on DVD is a delight.

Were it not for two minor gripes I would have awarded 5-stars. Firstly, the mix in some places should have brought the orchestra more to the fore. Typically this occurs when Jon Anderson strums his acoustic guitar - hearing the backing would be much more lovely. Secondly and I hope it's not my DVD player, but the annoying animation icon won't switch off at the outset, despite you programming it that way. Accidentally I found the sub-title button does this properly, so there it is.

Otherwise Close to the Edge, Gates of Delirium and Ritual will blow your mind away. The world should be forced to watch and listen, for this is how music should be ...

Summary: Magnificent: their best concert sound/video ever, hands down
Review: When this DVD arrived in the mail, I figured I'd take a quick peek just to see what I could look forward to when I had the time to actually sit down and view it. 194 minutes later, I came out of my trance.

This is a spectacular concert, expertly filmed and brilliantly mixed. If I could only own one Yes video, this would certainly be it. The orchestral arrangements are masterful, and the band members have never been stronger. It's a glorious white-knuckle ride all the way.

The bonus disk material is great for hard-core fans, but it's home video quality so don't expect anything more than that. I do wish they had included a full and uninterrupted version of Tim Panella's mix of "Long Distance Runaround" over the bonus disk's credits.

This concert is absolutely stellar. And it's FUN to watch, because everyone on stage, including all of the orchestra members, are obviously having a blast playing and enjoying themselves in the process of making this amazing music.

I often find myself shaking my head at how many live versions of Yes' most popular songs are out there, and although I would love to have heard more songs from "Magnification", don't be fooled into thinking that this is "yet another" live Yes album. The new orchestral arrangements give every song a totally different feel, and, combined with the great visual presentation, make these versions indispensable.

Awesome stuff. Bravo, Yes!!!

Summary: Masters of Time !!!!
Review: Magico,Increible, Maravilloso.

Summary: Almost unwatchable
Review: I eagerly bought this DVD as a souvenir, having seen last year's Symphonic Tour. Yes, the sound is good, but the video editing is what I call "MTV-style attention deficit." Most shots last only 5 to 10 seconds before the camera angle is changed. This goes on for the ENTIRE CONCERT! Some of the shots are as short as 1 second. Even the documentary, "Dreamtime" suffers from the same dizzying cut & paste editing. OK as a souvenir, but not something I can watch repeatedly (or even twice).

Summary: Yes at their Best
Review: Wonderful both in sound and sight. It is killer from start to finish. The symphony is made up of young adults to kids and they are having the best time playing some of the best polished rock ever made. Yes is on tour now and I just saw them in Houston on August 15. Yes played for 2 1/2 hours and was a pure delight. Great to have Wakeman back, not to slight anyone else who has played keyboards for them. Yes is a group which bridges the journey between rock and classical music. They gently move you from 3 minute music to full length pieces.

Summary: YES: Young Energetic Symphony
Review: Jon Anderson (lead vocals), Steve Howe (lead guitar), Chris Squire (bass guitar) and Alan White (drums) decided to fill the void left by departed member Rick Wakeman (keyboards) by touring with various symphony orchestras. Much of the music of Yes has a classical music sensibility, which lends itself well to full orchestral backing. This particular DVD was recorded in Amsterdam with the European Festival Orchestra. The middle-aged members of Yes seem rejuvenated by performing with such a young group in this concert. That the four members of Yes played so well with over forty members of the orchestra is a testament to the talent and musicianship of all concerned. "Close To The Edge" and "Gates Of Delirium" are complex pieces of music that especially worked well in this symphonic setting. During the concert closer "Roundabout," many of the young women from the orchestra danced on stage, adding to the festive atmosphere. Of all of the Yes concert videos I've seen, I enjoyed this one the most.
