Review: If he dared to be any more fabulous, God would strike him dead.

Summary: Even a Grandma loves him!
Review: I can't imagine anyone NOT liking this DVD. The CD was fantastic, but to see him perform the songs was even better. His interaction with his duet partners showed his funny side and so did his little "off the cuff" comments every so often throughout the concert. America needs to wake up and see what they are missing by not tuning into his music. My kids tell me to grow up, but every piece of Robbie memorabilia I can get my hands on is in my posession!

Summary: Robbie loves to sin(g)! And it shows.
Review: This is probably the best concert out on dvd... ever. Not only are the audio and picture qualities amazing, but its just so fun watching someone as charismatic as Robbie Williams having such a good time on stage. The songs are proven clasics, but sung with such freshness and joy one can't help but smile. In my opinion the best songs are "Things", "Me & My Shadow" and "My Way" even though all the songs are showstoppers. Buy this DVD you won't regret it, although it does leave you wondering.... HOW DID HE GET HIS HAIR TO DO THAT?

Summary: Robbie swings, and I swoon
Review: An artist takes a big risk when they divert from their normal musical style. Madonna did it with "I'm Breathless" and George Michael did it with "Songs from the Last Century." Now it is British megastar Robbie Williams' turn to show his swing skills as he performs classics from his album "Swing When You're Winning."
First of all, the album itself is great. If you are a fan and you don't have it, pay the import prices and have a listen. This DVD shows his live concert at decadent Royal Albert Hall. He has a full orchestra and dresses the part in a suave suit. His performance never misses a beat. He covers the classics with the greatest of ease. He is an excellent live performer anyway, but it's nice to see him toned down a bit from his over-the-top pop concerts. He duets with the likes of Jon Lovitz, Jane Horrocks (from "Little Voice"), and Rupert Everett. Highlight number: "Mack the Knife." But don't think Robbie has forgotten who he is. In between songs, he does get a bit cheeky with a few jokes.
Only downside? He did not perform "Somethin' Stupid," his duet with Nicole Kidman (but she was in the audience...hmmmmmm). Luckily, the song's music video and a making-of special are featured on the DVD.
Also featured on the DVD is a little documentary called "The Day Job." It follows Robbie through his videography and achievements. It was an interesting touch.
This is a must-have if you are a Robbie fan or a swing fan, or if you simply want to discover what the British are fussing about. He truly is one of the best talents today.

Summary: Another Robbie Triumph!
Review: Why hasn't the U.S. wised up and gotten on the Robbie Williams bandwagon?! I think he's amazing. When I first heard that Robbie was doing a swing album, I was very disappointed. I love all of his previous albums, so I wanted something else in the same vein. I did give "Swing When You're Winning" a try, though, and I have to say it is good. The CD won't be one of those that never leaves my CD player, but it is worth listening to. I liked the DVD a whole lot more, however. Robbie is a born entertainer, and that shines through in whatever he does. Even if he got on stage and read from the phone book, I think I would find it compelling. Watching Robbie spend an evening performing the swing music that he loves was intoxicating. The bonus material on the DVD was quite good as well. I would recommend this DVD to anyone who likes Robbie, even if you don't like swing.

Summary: ROBBIE IS AT THE TOP OF HIS GAME!!!!
Review: To say that Robbie Williams is impressive in this fine performance would be an understatement. I had no idea that this DVD was coming out until I saw it in the store. I bought it right away and was totally blown away. Watching and listening to this DVD was like going through a time warp of what it must have been like during the heyday of the Rat Pack. Robbie looks incredible, his voice is amazing and he just gives everything he has into this performance. I hope this DVD will start to turn new generations of kids on to these great classics that Robbie has so incredibly performed. My favorite part on the DVD was in the middle of the song "My Way" Robbie was fighting back tears while the audience cheered him on, standing ovation and all before he can even finish the song. That song is like the story of his life. I hope Robbie makes it here in the states, I'm rooting for him. This is one classy show. EXCELLENT JOB, ROBBIE! EXCELLENT JOB INDEED!

Summary: Outstanding
Review: I saw Robbie in concert in NYC a couple of years ago and he was terrific. Now I have a concert DVD to play as often as I like, which is often. He's terrific. The extras on the DVD are worth seeing over and over. We need more of Robbie here in America.

Summary: Sincere, Good Time!
Review: I purchased the CD "Swing When Your Winning" while on vacation in Australia in March 2002 after hearing "Somethin' Stupid" featuring Robbie and Nicole Kidman on the radio in Sydney. When I returned home to the USA I ordered this DVD. Upon my first viewing I was glued to the screen. Each subsequent viewing with friends has proven to be just as entertaining. Additionally, friends who had never heard of Robbie Williams prior to seeing this DVD are now converted fans. Robbie Williams' showmanship is amazing. Throughout the performance you can easily tell that he is confident and enjoying the evening without quite believing that he is starring at the Royal Albert Hall. The extra features on the DVD such as the "making of the CD," the full "Somethin' Stupid" video, and the backstage "before and after" footage are great perks to an otherwise outstanding package.

Summary: Robbie is Amazing
Review: Robbie Williams performance at the Royal Albert Hall on this DVD is one of the greatest things. He is cool yet is his usual funny and cheeky self.

The extras on this are great. Robbie and Bill Miller on "One for My Baby" is really a sight to see. I also liked to the "day job." This shows everyone why some of us are very big Robbie fans.

This is one DVD that you can not go wrong with. It is just amazing.

Summary: Simply Brilliant, Would be cheap at twice the price
Review: This is both a magnificent performance and DVD. The performance was the equal, in sound quality, of his magnificent CD "Swing when you winning". The performance of everyone was first rate for a live concert. The DVD is superb value for money. Not only do you get the concert you also get a reprise of his pop career in "Day Job", the making of the video with Nicole Kidman, what a babe, the making of the CD and much more. My college age kids bought me this for my birthday and now I have to fight with them to get it back so I can watch it.
