Summary: If you like U2, you'll like this DVD
Review: This DVD is a slightly dressed up version of the VHS tape, with some introductory panorama shots overlaying the opening tracks. The sound quality is great, the "grainy" black and white is intentional as is the eventual transition to color toward the second half of the movie (I saw it in the theatre on 70mm...) If you already have the VHS, it is worth getting the DVD just so you can skip to your favorite tracks. There is no new material on the disk, even though it claims to hold "Ruby Tuesday" and "Sympathy for the Devil" - they have just put that down on the track list since Bono sings a few lines from those songs towards the end of "Bad". Like I said, if you like U2, you should own this DVD.

Summary: The essence of U2 in their prime
Review: I had the CD before seeing the movie, I didn't know this was actually a theatrical movie, released by Paramont Pictures. The movie explains some of the songs better, for example I didn't really care for "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" with the gospel choir untill I saw how they went to harlem and actually recorded in a little church. I didn't care much for "When Love Comes To Town" till I saw how they pulled B.B. King into it. So the movie did enhance the CD. Plus the movie has 11 extra live songs (all the rest of The Joshua Tree live), plus an incredible version of Bloody Sunday and others. DVD version is cool just because you can access all the songs just as if they were on CD, plus you can turn on the subtitles and read along with the lryics. I heard somone comment about cheap "black and white" and "grainy video", the footage was shot like that on purpose, it's more of an artisitc statement.

Review: THIS DVD IS ONE THAT YOU WILL JUST WATCH AND LISTEN OVER AND OVER.....OVER AND OVER AND NEVER GET TIRED OF IT. IT'S THRILLING AND CAPTIVATING EVERYTIME WITH EVERY SONG. A MUST....EVEN IF YOU NEVER HEARD OF U2. YOU WILL NOT HAVE LIVE YOU LIFE TO THE UPMOST.....IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN RATTLE AND HUM....GET IT NOW BEFORE YOU DIE AND IT WILL NOT BE IN VAIN

Review: Impossible not to buy it. Excellent sound. (You can tell the difference with the movie in VHS) Wish they release POPMART Mexico in DVD soon!

Summary: Slightly disappointed and confused
Review: After waiting a long time for U2 to finally release some thing on DVD I was disappoited when they finally did. Songs that are listed as DVD bonus tracks on the disc arent there! The grainy black and white video is out of place with DVDs purpose of razor sharp images. Musically this is a great disc but visually their concerts are better than this. Aside from "With or without you" and "Sunday, bloody Sunday" I have a hard time recommending this disc to anyone. Lets hope "Live at Red Rocks" comes out soon.

Summary: MORE THAN A ROCK BAND - one of the best shows of all time
Review: Well lets just say this, buy it. Ive only bought a DVD player so I could see Rattle and Hum / ZooTV, and some Floyd. This rocks, I reccomend Zoo TV just as much, for god sake, light one up, pop this baby in the HIFI home theater and you will have a real treat :) Rock on!

Review: The first time I saw this video, it doesn't take me that long to fall in love for the music. I went out and got my self a VHS version, and view it many time and still do. sound awesome with home theater system. I just order my self a DVD version, can't wait!!

Summary: A Great Film Documenting the World's Best Band At Its Zenith
Review: Rattle & Hum has captured something that most concert/music videos do not. You experience the music, but also feel as though You know the guys by the film's end. The cinematography is incredible, making great use of black and white film to capture the haunting yet chilling image of The Edge's shadowy silhouette against the concert lights, which was made all the more powerful by the Wizard of Oz appearace of color at the show's climax at Tempe's Sun Devil Stadium. The most captivating moment of the film was Sunday Bloody, which was prefaced by a somber Bono speaking about the never ending struggle in Ireland, on the same day of a bombing where people died. Halfway through the song, he breaks into a powerful political tirade and plea that not only gripes Your heart, but it also caught the attention of the IRA, who were none too pleased... Play this on a surround sound system, strong sub-woofer, and enjoy the true artistry that is missing in today's lifeless, mechanical "music."

Review: Ok well i've had this video for a while now and watched it about ummmm more times then i can count and im never disapointed..it really shows that even the biggest band in the world have idols..this is actually the film that made me start listening to their music
