Summary: Give the girl a break!
Review: There's nothing wrong with voicing your opinions about a certain artist, but I've been around for a while, a lot longer than most of you Avril haters, and I've heard it all before. Generations before you said the same about Janis Joplin, The Runaways (Joan Jett, Lita Ford), and even Madonna. Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera would be NOTHING if they didn't prance around half naked every time the camera is rolling. And there's Courtney Love who became famous only because of Kurt! Otherwise
her drug and booze-laced performances would be where they are going now--NOWHERE! Time will tell if Avril is the real thing; if her talent develops more and her music has the staying power or will she just fade away as a one hit wonder. I doubt the latter, and
her first CD and DVD and tour are an excellent start. I don't think she's a wanna-be anything as most of you haters suggest.

Summary: Avril's voice a letdown live
Review: Despite an all-around well-produced and entertaining concert and backstage footage, MY WORLD comes up short where it counts the most: Avril Lavigne's singing. What were the best moments in LET GO become the sadly disappointing worst parts on stage, as Avril's voice turns boyishly deep and then resorts to atonal yelling where her songs are most demanding. (On the other hand, in covering less difficult GREEN DAY and METALLICA hits, she actually sounds better than the original vocalists.) This problem may be due to the wear-and-tear of touring on her young and delicate vocal chords--MY WORLD was filmed on the last North American tour date--but, nevertheless, it doesn't help Avril's reputation as a performing artist to showcase this weakness.

Summary: Freaking awesome!
Review: I saw her in St. Louis and it was amazing. I cannot even tell you how good she was. When I heard they were taping it and that they were going to put it out on a DVD, I was so happy! I had to specially order it from the UK since they got it before we did. I have it now and it's so good! the concerts is awesome and the backstage footage rocks. The photo gallery, the extra CD...everything! It's great. I had 2 of my friends who are avril-haters watch it and they actually accept her as a person now from seeing the backstage footage because they see how real she is. This if freaking awesome and you need to buy it!

Review: DON'T BUY THIS! MY COUSIN WANTED ME TO WATCH IT. LONGEST DVD I'VE EVER SEEN OF THE UGLIEST PUNKY PUNK PUNK IN THE UNIVERSE. I NEVER KNEW THAT A TODDLER WITH A SNOTTY NOSE COULD EVER SELL CDS OR DVDS...WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?

Summary: This DVD Will ROCK
Review: I was at the Buffalo show and it was amazing. Avril and her band put on a wonderful show and I'm sure this DVD captured just about everything that was so special about the "Try To Shut Me Up Tour". I can not wait to see it. Especially the behind-the-scenes footage. And the Live CD that accompanies it will, of course, be just as awesome. I've heard all of those tracks and believe me, they're just about perfect. Keep on rocking Avril!

Review: Funny / Great / Amusing / Amazing / Thrilling...
Good pictures, Great music, Great everything! You'll see hidden facts of Avril, the real deal. A girl who's scared of being locked in a bathroom, a tender girl with her doggie, a party girl, a good friend, a great skater, a funny teenager and someone who loves her job. Great live performance, you'll see one of her tour's concerts and you'll get surprised to see that she sings really well in live.
You can see really funny outtakes from taping the dvd and you'll go with Matt, Evan, Avril and the rest of the band including the GOB guys thru her tour. Including cities like Tokyo.
A must have for every Avril Lavigne fan or for anyone who lvoes music DVD's.

Review: As a big fan of Avrils, the day this DVD came out, I went and bought it. It has her with the boys just hanging out and having fun. It shows her in concert, and it's just really interesting to see how Avril is just like everyone else. It's quite entertaining and for anyone who likes Avril, it's not a waste of money!

Review: I have had the incredible opportunity to attend the "Try To Shut Me Up" tour in 2003 in St. Paul, MN. It was an absolutely incredible show. Avril was so incredible and the band was just amazing. I almost found myself in tears at this show because I am such a huge Avril fan and I was so happy to be there! This DVD helped me re-live my incredible experience at this show. I love to watch this awesome concert and bring back my memories. The special features are a lot of fun to watch as well. I recommend any Avril Lavigne fan to not hesitate to purchase this DVD immediately.
