Summary: note to video editor: lay off the truckers' pills...
Review: This DVD had potential for 5 stars, in spite of Brian Johnson's road-wearied pipes (I still give him an A for effort, 'tho). What nearly kills this is the haphazard editing...forget about trying to soak in the experience, 'cuz the camera angles change at an annoyingly machine gun-like pace. As a result, with maybe a few noticable exceptions, my recollection of this video is not much more than a huge visual blur. Such a shame too, 'cuz the picture quality actually is top-notch...what a waste of film. But the bottom line is this: the boys can still bring it, and are still capable of reducing many of today's bands into little girly men. If you caught AC/DC on this tour, you pretty much know the bulk of the setlist, but at this particular show they dusted off a couple of nuggets you might not have seen ("Up To My Neck In You" & "What Do You Do For Money Honey"). Long story short...it's a great performance, but the rapid editing might test your resolve after awhile. Worse comes to worse, just turn off the video & listen to the audio...

Summary: Consistently Great, Consistently AC-DC
Review: I was lucky enough to hear/see the band on the STIFF UPPER lip tour in Melbourne , Australia; Needless to say the venue was garbage compared to this concert in Munich. Anyways, the same vibe they had in the relatively small Melbourne Venue is here in the larger Munich site.
As is evidence by the stage layout, and the marching "Angus" Statue, The Schoolboy is the centre of attention.
A mix of the then current album and the standards is great.
The Camera coverage is way better than previous video releases ... one can only hope that they do as QUEEN has done, and released discs with extra coverage. Anyways, the band delivers in this release, and is truly a band for the fans, and even for those not mainly fans ... especially those who try and show off and not deliver what the fans want.
AC/DC are the raw, top of the line concert animals who deliver on CD, Video/DVD, as well as in person ... many artists could do well to copy this.

Summary: Welcomed addition to my Collection
Review: I received this video as a gift not too long ago (by request), and I enjoy watching it very much. Though the band has aged (set in 2000), I find it's the crowd going insane that helps light up the stage. If you're a true fan of AC/DC you'll love them and appreciate the music without overly comparing it to earlier hits of the 90's, as they are frankly not comparable. Their music lineup is different and refreshing, the video picture is great, and as stated by several reviews, the sound is not terrific. Might as well play it in Stereo.

As a fan, watching them is always great, while angus runs off on Solos playing with the crowd, his brother Malcolm hammers out the power chords. You can tell Johnson's vocals are starting to strain, and don't come out as strong as other concerts.

Live at Donington still stands out as the better concert to currently watch, while this remains to me, a refreshing change.

Summary: AC/DC - Stiff Upper Lip Live
Review: They may be getting on in years a bit, but this conert in Munich proved that AC/DC still has the goods. All the major tunes are here, plus a few juicy bits from bygone days. Angus puts on an act during Bad Boy Boogie that brings the house down. The guitars shine during Thunderstruck and Hard as a Rock, which has a little video presentation on the screens behind the band. The intro featuring a giant walking animated version of the Angus statue they bring on tour was cool. Overall, I'd say it was well worth the price.
