Summary: I Loved It
Review: For those of us that were born post-Beatles, we thought it was a good movie. I am a huge Beatles fan as well as a Huge Bee-Gee's fan! I never even heard the Beatles version of this until years after I heard and fell in love with the Bee-Gees version. Enjoy!

Summary: Sharing memories with my daughter
Review: First and foremost to the ones who are ripping this movie apart...CHILL! It's a fun, silly, campy, corny, NON-HATEFILLLED, cartoon violent little fable set to music. And no one is trying to be the Beatles for pete's sake. If you hated it then don't watch it! Personally, I was so hooked on this when I was a kid. I watched it so many times I had it memorized. I hadn't seen it in years, a couple of month's ago my wife bought it for me (and made my day I might add!). Well guess what? My 7 year old has watched it so many times she has it memorized LOL! So to all the other fans...enjoy, share with your kids, so what if it's corny, it's FUN!

Summary: Tribute to Beatles' Greatness
Review: The Bee Gees regret making this film because everyone claimed they were trying to take the Beatles' place. But I thought that the story line tied the songs together to tell a neat little story, just for fun. I've never enjoyed "classics" like Gone With the Wind and so forth. Give me good looking, fun loving people having a blast paying their respects to one of (if not THE) greatest bands, not to mention the greatest song writing duo - McCartney and Lennon. I could have done without George Burns singing, Steve Martin was too funny (better than King Tut) and Alice Cooper was a disturbing as ever. But not only did this film showcase the brillance of the Beatles but it highlighted the incredible talent of the Bee Gees and Peter Frampton (as well as many others)- disco or not, anything by the Bee Gees is great. Ditto to Peter Frampton.

Summary: 70's Classic movie that is loved by three generations!
Review: I thought Sgt. Pepper was wonderful. I'm also just a bit tired of hearing old 60's burnouts talking it down. Yes the guys played sweet guys and and not psycho killers. Drug related? I think it made a point that if you do drugs, you will not always know what you are doing and could let yourself be taken advantage of as Billy {Peter Frampton}was. I don't think the Brothers Gibb set out to copy the Beatles in any way. I have heard both groups doing the same songs and I like what the Bee Gees did best. I liked what all the movie artists did. I think people should watch this movie for what it is and that is a light-hearted romp about good versus evil. I like it when good wins out! The best things about it is that it's a movie that three generations in our family can watch and enjoy. I love it, and I can't wait for it to come out on DVD! My teenage daughters who are into Korn and the like, can't wait either!!! Someday people will realise that the Beatles were only gods to the 60's generation and that is only the opinion of one generation. This is a great movie for those who can see past their own mental hangups and see it for what it was ment to be. Fun.

Summary: Once in a lifetime film & great fun too!
Review: This is one of the most fun films ever made and as a wine improves with age, so does this film. When this film was first released, it was scoffed at and rebuked by "true" Beatles fans throughout. What? the Bee Gee's doing the Beatles - Heaven forfend! - this is an outrage! Hogwash! It died a sudden death in the theatres because it was released into a critical sarcastic period of time where we, during the party crazed 70's weren't ready for it. The film is a perfect reminder to us now in the 90's to have fun and not be so critical. Enjoy life - enjoy this movie. Listen to the music, don't make comparisons, enjoy it for what it is - a fun journey, making fun of itself and us too with wonderful music delivered in a unique format. The critics are always critical - that's their job. Trying to analyze this film critically is a mistake as it doesn't fit within the standard confines of a typical film. Don't be surprised if this film takes on a cult personna, ala Rocky Horror - it's unique, it's great fun, and you've missed the point if you take it too seriously - have fun, sit back, and go on a journey unlike any other...

Summary: Great Light-Hearted Moovie
Review: I saw this moovie for the first time after the Anthology's came out . . . I loved it. I laughed even cried when . . . well if you've seen it you know. It's good to know that good 'clean' moovies still exist. This is a moovie that I didn't mind watching with my family.

Summary: Great slap-stick
Review: My....my what harsh reviews. Let me first say I am an avid Beatles and Bee Gees fan. And my experience has shown Beatle fans to be some of the harshest in the world..where as Bee Gee fans are the total opposite. Strange isn't it? This movie was not in any way suppose to be a serious thing. I thought it was very funny and quite entertaining actually. It's a great movie to watch when you start taking life to seriously. Hint...hint

Summary: Big Time BAD!!!
Review: I thought that the movie was one of the biggest stinkers in the history of the planet... I hate Peter Frampton and Barry Gibb... They both come off as a bunch of pritty boys! Robin Gibb as playing the part of a wimp! He had to have Barry punch Alice Cooper in the face to save him from being strangled to death. the feast sequence had a drug influence feel to it... I would NEVER show this to my family... The only good thing about the soundtrack was Robin Gibb's verson of Oh Darling... Let's Not forget Get Back By Billy Preston... Otherwise the film is a complete waste of time and money... Bee Gees and Frampton RUINED the Beatles music... They ALL need acting lessons.. Poor George Burns He was also the only thing worth watching...I hope that it is never released to DVD...

Summary: I loved it!
Review: I saw this movie when I was 16 and was happy to see it replayed on tv when I was at tech. school in the air force in 1981. I loved it and was so glad to see I can get it here. This movie was fun and strange, I like that.

Summary: Great family fun, over and over
Review: I too saw this film in the theatre in '78. I loved it then and I love it now. My husband (former Air Force) was traveling alot then and never got a chance to see it. He and I have always enjoyed the BeeGees music. He will now be able to see the movie I raved about. And it is a movie that I will let my children (ages 10,6 & 4) watch without any worry. I don't think anyone ever said that the BeeGees and Frampton were trying to BE THE BEATLES. I think they were having fun. More power to them.!
