Summary: Excellent Concert
Review: I was lucky enough to attend the Boston shows that this was recorded from(June 5&6). There are a few songs from the Set lists that did not make the DVD (Mysterious Ways, Get Up Stand Up, Pride, and One). But I do have to admit that these were two of the most incredible shows that I have seen (and I've seen quite a few!). All in all this is a release from U2 so it is guaranteed to be the best.

Summary: The Boston shows were outstanding
Review: I am so psyched about this. I went to the second Boston show (the first one filmed for this dvd) and found to my dismay a camera plunked down in my seat. So, my bro and I got shoved right next to the stage 5 rows back. And let me tell you that was the best day of my life. It was the night they were broadcast on the NBA Finals half-time show, so they were on their game. They were putting out 100% and the show ran so long, that I missed the final train back to my house in suburbia. It was outstanding and it's great that they put the best and most Irish U2 city in America on the dvd. Outstanding, absolutely outstanding.

Summary: It was a great show
Review: Buy this DVD! I was at the FleetCenter in Boston when this show was taped, and let me tell you, it was awesome! I don't know why 'One' is missing from the track list, since they recorded this show over two nights, and it was played on both nights, but what can you do? For the die-hard's reference, this was also the night when U2 performed Live to the NBA Finals right from the FleetCenter. Anyway, great show, and if you are a fan, buy the DVD.

Summary: Hoping..
Review: I saw U2 twice this tour and yes it was awesome. But I never took notice of the dropped songs off the setlist on the DVD till someone mentioned it. Hopefully this is just a tentative thing and also putting the DVD extras in english would be cool !!! :) Seriously, this will still be a great DVD, but how can you cut ONE? Oh, well it's still U2 live.

Summary: Sooooo disapointed!!
Review: First off,let me say that I'm a huge U2 fan. They're by far my favorite band but after waiting so long for an up-to-date DVD from them, I can't believe we're getting shortchanged with that playlist! I mean no ONE,PRIDE,NEW YEAR'S DAY,ANGEL OF HARLEM, MYSTERIOUS WAYS,ALL I WAN'T, ONLY 1 SONG FROM ZOOROPA,no DISCOTEQUE,or STARING AT THE SUN!! They could have easily added 3 or 4 of these songs...I mean,no 'ONE'!! Plus I heard some of the Boston shows weren't up to U2 standards. Then again U2 at their worst are better than most. The extras look awesome though and hopefuly they'll make up somewhat for the play list. I'm still pi$$ed of cause they did almost the same thing at the Miami show I went to!Oh well,I'm getting it anyways..its U2!

Summary: Even better than the real thing
Review: I thought nothing could top "Rattle & Hum", but after watching this concert on pay-per-view, I felt happily wrong !
U2 played with heart, and friendship developed throughout the years is shown when Bono introduces the band !
Amazing concert !

Summary: Just like being there!
Review: After seeing 7 of the Elevation Tour shows on this tour, I thought that seeing it on tv would lose the excitement of seeing it live and in person. Not so! VH1 aired a "watered down" version, with only current radio favorites (although the pre-show countdown was way cool) that was rather disappointing. However, U2 fans won't be let down with the dvd. The look is vibrant and the sound is loud and rich and you really do feel as if you're there. Director Hamish Hamilton really outdid himself here and ended up with a fantastic concert movie! I sat at just about every angle of the arena in my 7 shows, but unless you were in the very first row, the dvd offers a view that few were privilaged to see. The little camera in Bono's glasses is a nice surprise too. You see what he sees and it adds to the concert experience in a way I've never seen on any video or dvd for that matter. I like the second disk too, especially with the "Beautiful Day" video on the roof!

If you didn't catch U2 live, this is the next best thing to being there!

Summary: a DVD Boxset ? I just want unreleased stuff !!!
Review: Save Your Money. That said, I can't excuse the terrible production values of this DVD. I'm so sick of concert DVD's released with such poor cameras work that no one would ever accept from a current movie release.

Performance-wise, the boys are clearly past their prime here, and it's a shame to see a once unbelievable performance band reduced to kinda-getting-by.

Bono voice is....well, it's gone. He sounds like me doing a really, really annoying imitation of former Bono in the shower, with the flu. He struggles with some of the 80's songs. Sunday Bloody Sunday is such a shame here. Technically, as others have noted, band's performance is dreadful. Lacks the whole 80's and 90's energy.

Production is just annoying as hell. Horrible camera work, badly edited and shortened performance from 3 nights at Boston, a completely useless second DVD, etc.

Now the goods: Rumors say they're going to release a DVD Boxset by late this year. I really hope, I mean, I REALLY HOPE that Boxset won't include this performance or Pop Mart Mexico or ANY previously released one. That's such a commercial sellout move that's everybody's doing, I mean, the predictable remastered version from previous VHS videos. Do we need the same videos we've been watching for 10, 15 or even 22 years - Red Rocks - ?. HELL NO !!!.

Just in case, here's a list of several unreleased PRO-SHOT filmed concerts from early 80's to Pop Mart Tour (I didn't include Elevation because there're 2 DVD's out there from the same Tour). Cheers

Summary: As overrated as ATYCLB
Review: Ok, let's face it folks: This is a MTV promo video, not a live document. Moreover, most of fans know this crap was mixed from 3 different performances, a shame. So I can't name as geniune "Live" video, unlike Zoo TV live From Sidney or Red Rocks.

Bono sings awful, especially on the old ones as Bad or Stay. He is in rough voice, straining his thin range to get the hit notes.

Cameras work is annoying as hell, as spotlight review pointed out so well. Why do we need countless Bono's face close ups? we know he didn't shave his face for this concert and he screams for the cameras !!. Second DVD is even worse, just filler stuff for the bucks.

This is NOT the full concert from 6th June 2001. Full setlist from that night was as follows:

1. Intro / Elevation
2. Beautiful Day
3. Until the End Of The World
4. Mysterious Ways
5. Stuck In A Moment
6. Kite
7. Gone
8. New York
9. I Will Follow
10. Sunday Bloody Sunday /Get Up, Stand Up
11. In A Little While
12. Band Introductions/Desire
13. People Get Ready
14. Bad
15. Where the Streets Have No Name
16. Pride (In the Name of Love) / Intermission
17. Charlton Heston Speech / Bullet the Blue Sky
18. With Or Without You
19. The Fly / Intermission
20. One / Wake Up Dead Man
21. Walk On

... where is Stay ? Stay wasn't played that night, that proves this DVD was edited from several performances. One was cut out, as well several songs. Kite was edited out, keeping only intro on the DVD, the rest of the song is from another night. The band used the same clothes those 3 nights, so it was easy to edit this lame fake "live" DVD.

Rumors say they are going to release a DVD boxset, I really hope those DVD's will contain brand new stuff instead of a "remastered" versions of crappy concerts as Pop Mart Mexico City and this one. Countless concerts have been so much better than this below average one.
