Review: I gave this DVD to my boyfriend as a gift. What a great idea! Not only was it a hit for him, but for me too. Very entertaining. Great show, music is wonderful.....almost as good as being there.
Even if you're not a die hard U2 fan, it's still a great buy.

Summary: I guess I'm easy to please
Review: Well, I guess I'm easier to please than some here, because I thought the DVD was fun to watch. The only part I really could care less about is the view from the control booth. All you see is the director dancing around and cursing. I attended the Albany show just a few days before the DVD was filmed--listen closely and you'll hear Bono talk about Albany, as he was sick as a dog and the crowd "lifted him up". That reference alone is worth the cost of the DVD to me, as a permanent souvenir of the show I was at. Being the mother of 3 kids 5 and under I don't really have to sit and watch the DVD..I just put it on, turn it up and go off, so it's almost more of a CD than a movie. A great live album. If you're a U2 fan, attended an Elevation show and aren't picky about editing, get this DVD.

Summary: Best Band In The WORLD
Review: Having seen U2's last three tours (Zooropa, POP, Elevation) in Ireland, and since buying the video/DVD of each,this DVD conclusivly captures the atmosphere perfectly. Oh to see them again, every time I watch the show the hair still tingles on my neck. Best band in the world, best show ever by U2, Best DVD possible bar none. Special features are great, but are not needed as the show is so good.

Summary: Even Better Then The Real Thing....
Review: This live "Film" seems to have caught U2 in a very interesting part of their career. Bono's Dad has recently died and they seem to be coming to the reality that "All things fade away", and that eternity comes very close when we lose a loved one. The passion in this performance is second to none. There is talk that some of their other shows on this tour were better, although, it is always the same with fans that "their show was better". I think that U2 will go down in history as one of, if not THE greatest band of their time. I know many would probobly disagree, however... time shall tell us, just as it has done with all artists, who shall be remembered. A very interesting point to watch in this, is the guy's face's, I think this tells the true story. Good value from Amazon...

Summary: U2 Conquers America
Review: U2 winds up their biggest year with the video capturing the concert video of the year. The self proclaimed "greatest rock and roll" act going hosts a concert blending new songs with the classics which have lasted the test of time.
I saw this tour twice, and some of the features on the DVD bring you right back into the arena. This is absolutely a must have for fans of U2. Unfortunately, we could only wish that more songs from the tour could have been added, including "One", and their first single "Out of Control".

Review: Excellent live concert performance on DVD. Check out the special hidden feature on DVD #1 by following these instructions to view the Bono Cam: Press menu on disc 1. Go to The Making of Elevation Live and skip to the end. When the credits are done rolling you will see the Dream Chaser logo. At the top is a head of Bono. Highlight and hit enter. This takes you to a new screen where numbers are flashed. Type in 1-9-7-6. I had to push enter after each number. Watch and enjoy!

Review: This DVD is incredible. The quality of the sound and picture is crystal clear. I was at 2 of these shows (June 5th in Boston) and this is almost a great as it was being there. Perfect.

Summary: Great concert but poor editing
Review: U2's performance at Boston lived up to expectations. The sound quality was as good as it gets. My major complaint however was the editing. The director would switch camera angles every 2 seconds which was really annoying. Maybe this is the popular way to edit now days but for me it was almost unwatchable. I don't need to see a song performance from 60 different angles in the span of 2 minutes. The idea of using the fancam in the audience was what I was waiting for. I would watch the whole concert from the fancam option. But unfortunately the picture quality was poor and the sound was also poor. A better way of doing it would have cameras zooming on each of the band members and have the option of choosing which bandmember you wanted to watch on screen. Much like the webcast concert from Notre Dame.
