Summary: one kick*** video
Review: there is nothing like a live set of great playing.and this is one video you must see & have.and the way he treats that guitar during third stone from the stone is out of site.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Unusually good, for several reasons.
Review: If nothing else, this video would be of major importance as a historical document of a future great just before he burst upon the scene. But it goes far beyond that.

This is one of the best-produced music videos I've ever seen. The lighting and camera angles give a great impression of the feel of the club. And they weren't afraid to get up close. Seeing the sweat pour off Stevie at close range augments the feel of his gut-bucket blues.

On top of all that is, of course, a "Good God, do you believe this?!" performance by a guitarist everybody would know about very soon.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Unlike a lot of music videos you feel you are actually there
Review: The feel of actually being at one of the shows is there, the noise, the atmosphere, play it loud, play it lots.If you enjoy the music you'll be amazed at the show.

Summary: HEARTWRENCHING!!
Review: Live at El Macombo is my favorite video in my video library. Steve poured evey ounce of soul he had in him and spilled it on the stage of the El Macombo. How I wish I was there. At least I can watch him over and over again. He really knows how to get your body groovin. This is an excellent video to add to your SRV collection. He is and always will be the master. We miss you Stevie.

Summary: Jaw-dropping performance by a legend.
Review: Just recently got this video. If you like music, this definitely deserves attention. 100 times better than Austin City Limits. Stevie Ray Vaughn is an amazing guitar player. I have never seen someone so comfortable with a guitar... is this guy even trying? See for yourself.

Summary: Absolutely Amazing!
Review: The El Mocambo show has got to be the best performance of any electric blues guitar player ever recorded. It is a "must have" for any SRV fan. This, and the Austin City Limits shows, (also on VHS) are simply amazing to see, Period!

Summary: awesome. just awesome.
Review: The grainy video and small club add a nice touch to the already breathtaking video. when he was halfway through third rock from the sun, it hit me. the man was one of the greatest guitarists ever.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Spectactular footage of the most influential blues guitarist
Review: This concert captures Stevie on the brink of international stardom early on in his career. The El Mocambo provided a warm and intimate setting for this blues master. You cannot help but feel the hair stand up on the back of your neck when you hear the sweltering, intense soloing on "voodoo chile" or the beautiful, soft tones of "lenny" (a song written for his wife lenora). There are many other favorites captured in this one of a kind perforance as well. If you love the blues and Stevie Ray, YOU MUST get your hands on a copy of this video

Summary: ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THERE HAS EVER BEEN
Review: Actually, I rate this video at ten stars. Stevie Ray mastered the guitar like no other ever has. He played with so much heart and soul, anyone who listens to his music is most likely left in a state of complete amazement. This video only enhances that amazement and brings it to the next level of existance only held by Stevie himself. Every time I watch this video I feel as though I am watching it for the first time, sometimes I rewind it and watch it two or three times. Bottom line; buy it, watch it, you will love it, if not, I feel for you.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Some of the best live guitar ever
Review: Watch Stevie, think of all the drugs and weirdness passing through his life at that point, before he cleaned up, and marvel at his 500 note to the bar jam.
