Summary: Boring...
Review: It's sad to see what once was the best band on earth divided, quarreled and releasing low quality material like this DVD. Roger Waters did basically the same, but since he had a much better team behind him the result was acceptable. Gilmour did it really worse.
First of all, it's a mistery why he left his guitar off. Gilmour is not that good playing an acoustic guitar, and Floyd songs get boring and slow without his astunning effects and bends. Shine on You Crazy Diamonds sounds like an everlasting-boring-acoustic-guitar-solo, which I'd never expect from Gilmour.
Secondly, he changed the songs horribly. Comfortably Numb sung by some old man who reads the lyrics written in a piece of paper (could someone please explain me what was that?) gets awful, and the acoustic guitar makes it sound even worse. Fat Old Sun is acceptable, as well as Wish You Were Here. High Hopes reached a quality similar to the original, but again Coming Back to Live sounds odd.
Overall, this is a very dissapointing DVD. I purchased it expecting to see Gilmour at its best, and that's not what I found. Look for Pulse VHS if you want to listen to his majesty.

Summary: Amazing!
Review: I had seen clips of the concert on one of the music channels on satellite and I just had to have this DVD. Not being a big Pink Floyd fan or having any of the CDs, seeing the clips got me interested in perhaps giving the music a second chance. I kind of strayed away from the music because of the imagery of the movie "The Wall" and the psychedelic culture associated with it. But as I watched the DVD and saw David Gilmour with an "older and wiser" stage presence, I saw the music in a whole new light. From old standards like "Comfortably Numb" to an excellent orchestral version of "High Hopes", David Gilmour puts a whole new spin on the music that was popular in years past. This DVD is strongly recommended for people of all ages who enjoy wide ranges of taste in music. This is coming from a twenty something that gave it a second chance.

Summary: Timeless.
Review: David Gilmore live is like a breath of fresh air. This DVD adds a splended array of genuine talent and sound that everyone should experience. The DVD also ceases to amaze me, everytime I watch it, which is often.
I grew up nearly twenty miles from Mr. Gilmore, and have had the pleasure of meeting him numerous times. I've always been a huge fan Pink Floyd's music, especially w/ Mr. Gilmore at the helm. He seems to add a presence to their repertoire, that only extends my love for their music. This DVD is both the reflection of Pink Floyds past and the present of Mr. Gilmore himself. Very...very...very nice sound quality and picture (crisp and clean). Buy this DVD and your life will change for the better.

Summary: If you don't own this.. you'll never know the REAL PF
Review: I stumbled across this one night and thought, what the heck. I watched it yesterday, and only one word comes to mind. WOW!!!!
David Gilmour is definately one of the best guitarist in the world, with incredible creativity, and fingers that an amateur player like myself (who plays to my own amazement) look in awe at the master player.
Sure, he has some electronics to help get the right sound, but it takes pure genious to come up with such sounds, at just the right tone, at just the right time. Absolutely, a must have for any Pink Floyd fan, or any guitarist as well, whether you like PF or not, get it. It'll be the best money you ever spend.

Summary: Absolutely spectacular
Review: The sound quality and picture quality is the best I've heard and seen in a DVD yet. The accustic guitar sets in particular are crystal clear and give me goose bumps.

I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan, and this DVD (Where's the soundtrack Mr. Gilmour?) is close to my favorite performance to date. I think it's important to point out that after playing the DVD to several friends who are not necesarrily Floyd fans, per se; they all agreed that this DVD is definately one to add to the collection.

In short, if you're here looking at this DVD and reading this review, stop what you're doing and buy it NOW! You will not be disappointed.

Summary: THIS IS IN A WORD "GREAT"
Review: This is one of my all time favorite dvds. Gilmour's guitar playing is as good as Clapton. I know it is basically acoustic guitar but it is simply mind blowing work. Everything about this show is excellent. I love Pink Floyd and I sure am glad that I found this one. Roger Water's "In The Flesh" is still my favorite in this genre but this is a close second. Don't miss this one!!

Summary: Pretty grim
Review: I've loved Pink Floyd for years but don't expect to find anything but a very weak cry from the past on this DVD. I give it one star because Gilmour showed up but, beyond that, I can't think of anything redeeming to say about this DVD. If you're looking for Pink Floyd or even the David Gilmour of days gone by, you'll be sorely disappointed by this recording.

Summary: Pink Floyd Unplugged
Review: Every Pink Floyd fan should have this in their collection. The band will never be together again so grab what you can. I think that this is a great piece of work. David is at the top of his career, and his guitar playing ability, and the band fill's in behind him quite well. After viewing this DVD, I realized that this is Pink Floyd Unplugged. With Gilmour being the driving sound out of the band, he is now the front man (showing some extra pounds though). If you don't like guitar, and Gilmour playing it, don't buy this. All his guitar solo's are clean, and have no distortion (except one). So it really is a treat to see how good of a player he is. The music is put together so well! The backing vocals, the stand-up bass, and the cello, and the simplicity of complex songs, I caught myself watching this with my jaw open. Even people who don't know Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, or even Rock-n-Roll will find this entertaining. Gilmour's solo's are not long like when he's playing live with Floyd but, you get to see him play something different than his red Fender Strat. The extras on the DVD are great too. You get to see a home video of him practicing with the chorus, and all the work that goes into just that aspect of the show. Also included are some singles, one of which shows some footage of his floating sound studio on the Thames River in England. By far the best thing I have see out of any member of Floyd in recent history. P.S. I love Roger Waters, get the DVD "In the Flesh" too.

Summary: Haunting and Beautiful
Review: I first saw this show on the BBC whilst in Scotland. It came on at 1 am and despite being tired, I couldn't turn off the set. Gilmour shows a different side of his musical self, and the performance shows a different side to the music he and Pink Floyd made famous. Several songs migrate to minor chords, making them haunting and beautiful variations on familiar Floyd themes. "High Hope" is masterful, and the show never lets down. This performance will take any Floyd fan to places they haven't been before. It's worth a look and a listen for sure.
