Summary: Sarah takes the audience to the moon... and still orbiting
Review: After the somewhat over-elaborate One Night In Eden concert, Sarah Brightman comes back with a spectacular realization of her fantasies and flies us to the moon in her La Luna concert. The blue curtain, blue stage lights are a constant motif here. The bulk of songs is naturally from La Luna, but the material is taken from a wider range of albums, including Fly.

With dry ice billowing onstage, she makes her entrance. Her hair is rippled and cascades down her back. She is wearing her crystal crown, a black dress with skirt set so it reveals her left leg. With the black boots on, and her arms upraised, she looks like a warrior-goddess from a fantasy comic book. And yes, she has her Star Wars X-Wing pilot headset on, only the mike does not block her chin.

Symmetry is something she follows in two songs. In "Hijo De La Luna," she sings sitting down on the stairs onstage before rising up. She finishes the song sitting down. Likewise, the two excerpts from "La Wally" in the "Question Of Honour" number sandwich the main sequence. Also, the choir accompanying her in "Figlio Perduto" are on either side of the top of the stage.

Despite "Pie Jesu" coming after "There For Me," I wonder if it actually came after "Figlio", since Sarah's wearing the same transparent framework dress in that song

She flies in "Deliver Me," accompanied by two males on either side of her, hovering over a globe with swirls over it.

The sheer power of her voice is demonstrated in the title track. And she duets with Josh Groban in "There For Me," with him singing English lyrics as opposed to the Spanish sung by Jose Cura in the Time To Say Goodbye version. He's actually quite a good singer, Groban that is. Whomever she works with in a duet, she treats lovingly and with care, giving him that winning smile; once in her arms, one is safe from anything.

The high point of the concert is "Question Of Honour." While she is singing from "La Wally," I saw two telltale wires behind her. Uh-oh, she's ready to fly again, and fly she does, followed by a burst of red and white lights, confetti, and a pair of dancers on stage.

Her two concert standards, "Music Of The Night" and "Time To Say Goodbye" are also performed but with the climactic "Question Of Honour," they serve as pieces for Sarah to tuck us all in bed.

Maybe blue is my favorite colour and it exudes a calmness needed. All that red in Eden turned me off, but this concert, which marks Sarah's own Blue Period, is a cuppa that made the easy chair more snug and warm. She does carry some elements from the Eden concert that do work, i.e. the flying, and the fanned out dress from "Nessun Dorma," repeated her while she does that song.

Somehow, I doubt there will be a Classics concert video, so for the duration, let's just say she's still in orbit. Bless you Sarah, for making this concert video!

Summary: Sweet Musical Intoxication
Review: Simply outstanding! Every now and then, God creates a near perfect human being: a beautiful voice that is beyond beyond, a beautiful face with a winning smile, a beautiful body that is dressed in facinating choices of style, a beautiful and engaging talent with the NERVE to put it all together and give it all back to us, the audience. If anyone gives this album less than 5 stars, there is something seriously lacking with them. Sarah, obviously, works hard on perfecting her talent. She doesn't just sing, she takes us on her trip--and a magical experience it is. Sarah's songs are not just sung, they are performed by one who hits every note right on and remembers every word of very complex music. The La Luna album has a little bit of something for everyone. It is a wonderful mixture of songs that remain in your head long after Sarah has sung them. Watching her on this album, I now understand the meaning of "visual candy." This album makes a wonderful gift for anyone with taste. Try it; you'll get chills on the back of your neck, she sings so awesomely.

Summary: Sound Quality Could Be Better
Review: Sarah's voice is absolutely beautiful. I went to her La Luna concert in Toronto, and bought this DVD too. The bonus music video on the DVD is a visual treat - well done. Hope she can produce more music videos. I was a bit disappointed that the DVD was recorded in stereo format instead of surround sound. Without surround sound, I couldn't fully re-live my wonderful concert experience. All the music DVD's I have are in Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound format. For example, Charlotte Church's In Jerusalem, and Celine Dion's All the Way. I hope Sarah's next DVD can be in Surround Sound - her beautiful voice should be recorded in the best quality format!

Summary: Don't waist your money
Review: Brightman lipsyncs the entire "performance". Any fool can tell. She also lipsyncs on the Eden concert DVD.

If you want to see her actually sing live, purchase the "Sarah Brightman In Concert" DVD.

Trust me!

Summary: The best dvd concert release!
Review: I think that this is Sarah's best concert ever. She does everything, from dancing to "Winter In July" to hanging from the ceiling and doing backflips during "Question Of Honour". Her beautiful voice has matured much since "Phantom" and that's almost unfathomable! I highly recommend this dvd!

Summary: An Amazing Live Concert DVD!!
Review: Having not had the chance to see Sarah Brightman live in concert, this DVD is high on the list along with the live DVD Live in Royal Albert Hall, the La Luna tour is quite a big production which complements the amazing stage precence and talent of Miss Brightman, all tracks are great, but my personal favorites are "There for Me" which is a duet with a talented young singer Josh Groban, "A Question of Honor" or a rendition of the haunting classic rock hit by Procol Harum " A Whiter Shade of Pale" and one of Sarah Brightman's classics "Deliver Me" and is very elaborately performed live with high wires in a very interesting set design. A great video for any Sarah Brightman fan as well as any classical to neo-classical pop listener to get acquainted to Ms Brightman's talent, even better as a DVD it has extra snippets of information on the La Luna tour and Sarah Brightman plus it takes great advantage of the DVD controls, where you can access biographical information, carreer milestones and you can also have lyrics come on and off to learn lyrics of her songs or sing along and last it has a good music video of "A Whiter Shade of Pale". For any fan of Sarah Brightman it's one to own.

Summary: Very Satisfied
Review: She has one of the most beautiful voices I ever heard, and multitalented. Her music is a bit bizarre sometimes, but it is art. I feel what she saying, and I think that's her goal. I'm happy. Very organized layout of the menus and you can view the lyrics while she sings. This disc gives a "very Good presentation."

Summary: Wonderful - Magical - Beautiful...
Review: It was just under a year ago when I went to see Sarah preform on her 'La Luna' tour here in Denver. It was the first time I have ever seen Sarah perform live, though I have been a fan since her 'Phantom' days.

The DVD of the La Luna tour really captures the mood and magic of the evening. Sarah's voice is incredible (as always). The set is very nice. The lighting for the show was a good as I have ever seen at a concert. The audio and picture quality of the DVD is stunning. The DVD has kept my kids silent and enthralled, and thye are all 11 and under.

This is a wonderful reminder of the concert, complete with all of the confetti raining all over the audience(I was covered with blue & white paper!).

The bonus tracks are nice also. You get to see a glimse of all of the people it takes to put on a performance like this, and see Sarah in some candid moments.

All in all this is as good as a concert DVD gets....
