Summary: Others are much better
Review: You can't go wrong with the Nutcracker ballet, and we enjoyed this one. However, Macaulay Culkin is terrible and distracts from the entire performance. Surely, almost anything Hollywood gets its hands on is cheapened, and this is a clear example. Also, my children enjoyed Mikhail Baryshnikov's 1977 version over this or any other that they have seen. So, if you want to see all the Nutcrackers, go ahead and rent or borrow this one, but if you see (or buy) only one version, choose another.
