Summary: One of the best music documentaries ever made
Review: The queen of popular culture (and self-promotion) delivers, as always. During this two hour documentary, which isn't always that flattering, we get to see Madonna first thing in the morning, hanging out with friends, throwing tantrums, rehearsing, having talks with family members, and worldclass performances of her then biggest hits. You really feel like you get a rare glips into her life. Even though she probably had a quite a say in the editing, it still feels real and unpolished. The concert footage is great. Thease are two VERY entertaining hours. She is actually really funny. Overseas the movie was called "In bed with Madonna", which actually is a more appropriate title, given the content.
Question: why couldn't we get some unseen footage on the DVD..., there had to have been hours and hours of unused footage.

Summary: Great DVD to own for die hard Madonna fans.
Review: Groundbreaking movie making with Madonna in it What more could you ask for???. Great detail of our most relkevant pop Icon revealed when it was not fashionable bearing it all. This production gives 100 % of raw, gritty life caught on tape . It is also tha only DVD outr with fragments of the Wonderfull Blond Ambition World Tour 90 wich in itsel was a millestone for all artists. It does not rate 5 because of the limited content presented.

Summary: An incredibly unique documentary
Review: The thought of creating a documentary of Madonna seemed like a two-edged sword: on one edge, the idea seemed brilliant; she was diverese and eccentric, filled with glamour and demanding. On the other edge, it seemed overwhelmingly tacky and pathetic to document such a famous person's life while they toured the world. But, it's Madonna. That first edge, filled with optimism, ended up becoming the dominating slice of critics.

Filled with quite amusing and extravagent scenes, "Truth Or Dare" explores a different side to the everyday life we expect to see from a superstar. This documentary, however, follows Madonna during her infamous Blonde Ambition World Tour (which had, incidently, been banned by the Vatican for its gratuitous sex and references towards the Catholic Church). Filmed in a clear black and white film that adds an impressive artistic touch, we wander through the busy and often unorganized life of Madonna. I must emphasize that not discussing scenes directly only allows for the entertainment of the film to be more enjoyable; it allows for a mystery that can just widen your eyes as you begin to view the footage.

There are beautifully filmed scenes from her stage show as well, shown in a bright color contrast to that black and white of the rest of the film. Interwined with the run-around footage, it conforms to piece together an incredible documentary that still remains unprecedented in its presentation, its format and its content.

Madonna's more edgier and often more problematic attitude that had been given off in her early 1990's days are clearly shown in the film; quite an amazing contradiction to the more laid-back, mother-oriented Madonna of the millennium (although she hasn't changed her way at viewing the world; in her recent Drowned World Tour, she continues to spit, cuss, flip-off and not give a care as to what anyone would think of it...She still does what she wants, a proud and admirable quality that many of us wish we had the nerve to hold.)

All in all, "Truth or Dare" is unlike any documentary and certainly unlike many other films. It brings a light into a shadow that is rarely uncovered and offers an amazing glimpse into such an unknown territory. Unforgettable, it remains a true testament to the art of the documentary.

Summary: Stamina
Review: Madonna is a woman who has "The nerve". She pushes buttons. Meaning-she will go beyond most people's wildest dreams, and make those thoughts real through her music and theatrical art on stage. Not only is she a excellent entertainer, but she also sends a message. Challenge yourself, look beneath the opinionated, and the controversial reputation that the media (Pitt-bulls)havecaused her. I dare you to view "MADONNA'S TRUTH OR DARE" with an open mind, and you will find a part of her within yourself.

Summary: 5 Stars for Madonna!
Review: 5 Stars for Madonna and her concert footage, it's great! The only down thing about this DVD is that the gray scale footage is kind of "funny" ...meaning something doesn't quite seem right about it, but nothing to get in the way of enjoying the film. The concert footage is outstanding as well as the sound. Makes you really feel like it's live. Show's you how much preformers such as Madonna go through, and what they put everyone else through. The story line of this documentry follows Madonna around the world of her famous "Blonde Ambition Tour" and shows whole concert footage of "Express Yourself" "Like a Virgin" & "Holiday" as well as parts of or Madonna talking trhough "Like a Prayer" "Vogue" "Live to Tell" and a few others. Great for any Madonna fan or someone who likes music.

Summary: madonna is the queen of 'music'
Review: This is the famous account of the 1990 Blond Ambition Tour, complete with lots of backstage and hotel footage, sometimes bringing in the famous such as Warren Beautty, who in one memorable scene complains about madonna's desire to always be infront of a camera. The live footage is pretty hot, shot during some of the blond ambition american tours. The version of 'like a virgin' is delightfully sleazy. for an insight into the life during a major concert series, an insight into madonna, and for the spectable of various sizeable egos colliding, THIS IS A MUST SEE! it is not as honest as it purports to be, but it is the closest as any preformer is likely to let his/hers audience

Summary: Fascinating
Review: I find it remarkable that people dislike Madonna's behavior in the movie. Do you realize how difficult it is to pull off a tour like that? Did you get the feeling of the awesome burden that she was carrying? She's the big boss. She alone was responsible for the tour's success or its failure. We're talking the satisfaction of the worldwide audience, her reputation and A LOT of money. Add to that the highly complex production process. Now, do YOU feel up to such responsibility?

Extraordinary people, you see, are not born every day, and she has indeed brought more happiness into the world than any of the reviewers here could even if they lived for a thousand years. In light of such achievement perhaps it would be wise to cut her some slack. Or have we completely lost our ability to discern and admire greatness in people?

Summary: Truth or Dare: True Madonna Fans Only
Review: Unless you're a true Madonna fan, you may not have the patience to sit through this documentary of her life on the Blonde Ambition concert tour. But if you're interested in what it's like to be one of the biggest female pop artists on tour, you may want to rent this film.

The majority of the film is in black and white, while the concerts were shot in color. The title of the film is taken from a scene of "truth or dare" that Madonna plays with her entourage of dancers and backup singers in which she reveals a very personal feeling of hers that she originally refused to allow in the film. The director said that Madonna would have to kill him in order to cut that one scene... so the scene was left in.

I found it interesting to see what happens the moment Madonna steps off stage--what goes on between shows or even songs. When technical problems occur during the show, she makes it known (in a not-so-subtle way) to her technical directors.

You get a glimpse of what kind of relationships Madonna leads and the roles that she plays in them. You meet her dad and brother, and see what sort of relationship they have as a family. For the most part, however, her tour family is made up of her dancers and backup singers.

You probably haven't seen this side of Madonna before, and you probably never will again. It's just a brief slice of her life.
