Summary: Accessible imagery for small churches
Review: For anyone who's ever worked in a church media ministry... you know that 99.9% of the time, budgets are low, the folks are volunteers, and real talent is few and far between. So how do we introduce media to our Sunday Morning congregation that doesn't remind the congregation once again that we'll never have the resouces behind the media that they're saturated with from Monday-Saturday?

iWorship is the first product that does that work for us. As a resouce, it puts the kind of imagery and production into the hands to compete with the culture we live in. Our church uses the videos before service, during offering times, and sometimes, if we're using the right song, during our worship service.

I am very pleased with this product and anticipate each new release. They've packaged what would cost our ministry thousands of dollars in content, time and talent into a disc that costs under $25. Despite the limitations of the format, we can worship God through media with dignity.

Summary: loved it
Review: The iWorship DVD's were well received in my church. There are only two people who are able to lead the contemporary service...me and another guy. Occasionally neither one of us can be there so we use the iWorship videos as a substitute. The congregation loves them, but I'm afraid to use them too often to prevent burnout. Considering the filmography I know it takes a lot of time and money to produce each one. I'll buy more when they come out.

Only problem I encountered was occasionally the lyrics don't want to display. Could have been the player I was using on my laptop. Just something to keep in mind.

Summary: Good idea, poorly done
Review: We tried to use this... Naw. If you have ever tried to get a worship team of amateurs to play along with a click track - you know thats pretty much impossible. The only other options is to use the "karaoke" track or just have the regular CD version of the song play. The images are phenomenal - the video editor who made this is very gifted - but the subtitles showing the lyrics to the song (the whole reason one would get this product) has only one setting - white letters very small.

For such limited options available on the lyrical edge and the limited number of songs per DVD It seems a bit much to me. I have DVD A and will not be getting any others. Glad I got a deal on it at the Christian bookstore...

My advice? borrow another church's to see it before you buy it. It might work for your church - it didn't for ours. (both regular services and youth services)
