Summary: Amazing, A Must Have
Review: 5+ hours of concert footage, interviews, promos, etc. This is an amazing collection of Led Zeppelin material. Best of all, the quality (both video and audio) is absolutely outstanding. Crystal clear concert video footage from 1970 through 1979. 3 audio tracks: DTS, Dolby 5.1, or PCM Audio. The DTS track sounds like you're sitting front row at these concerts.

Led Zeppelin fans must own this. Even remote Zeppelin fans should own this. Must have DVD for any collection.

Summary: a MUST for zep fans
Review: This is my first review of any product that I have purchased from Amazon. I am a hard-core Zep fan since I first saw them play at Live Aide. There isn't much to say about this DVD except that it is undeniably AWESOME. The band has miraculously kept much of its live footage under wraps and this DVD changes everything. The set list is craniological and is excellent quality esp. for JAMMING on a 5.1 surround sound stereo system. I am in shock that they have kept this footage underground for so long. Easily worth the [money] for "Bring It On Home" alone!

Review: First off let me say this is a review for people who like sitting down and watching a concert on TV. Many people are easily bored just sitting around starting at a concert on screen and if you are one of them than you probably won't like this DVD much.

Led Zeppelin fans have the right to be drooling because this DVD contains new concert footage and new live music never heard so I will talk about them separately. The predominant format of this DVD consists of various segments from different Led Zeppelin concerts.

Visuals- The footage was taken from Led Zeppelin archives that had been sitting around for years. You can tell that much of it was in poor quality but that the it has been restored with the finest of care. The film is crisp and for the most part looks great. The actual concerts are pretty standard. Multi angle Page and Plant fests so Bonham/JPJ fans might be dissapointed. The band relied on its musicianship and intensity so while be technically advanced for the 70's, most of the shows consits of simple light tricks and the occasional symbal fire. There are no trippy character segments a la "This Song Remains The Same" but you do get some very decent close ups of some Paige solos. He makes it look so easy while wailing on his Les Paul and I couldn't help but get my air guitar rockin!!

It is very interesting how you see the progression of the band througout the DVD. The Royal Hall perfomance (1970) shows the band in a raw almost unrefined manner. While still blowing the place away, they played like the knew how awesome they were, but wanted to show off to the rest of the world. Later as their career progressed they fell into a rythm and commraderie that shows in the middle two segments where they are clearly playing at their best. Finally at Knebworth they continue to amaze but Rock Star lifestyle has clearly caught up with the band. By then Bonham was sporting his Morisson like beard and gut while Paige was so out of it, one wondered how he made it through while still playing at his level. While watching Achilles Last Stand, I found myself wondering when the sweatty Paige was going to just collapse as he ripped through the machine gun licks of the song.

Music- the music is really the highlight of the DVD. For those Zep heads out there you won't be dissapointed. Having aquired bootlegs and live songs and I was instantly amazed from the first riff. I have a Bose Lifestyles 25 at home and the quality of the sound far surpassed any bootleg previously available as well as TSRTS. As far as the actual versions of the songs, all of them are great. Definitely the best live Whole Lotta Love, Dazed and Confused and Trampled Under Foot I have ever heard, while it will take more repeat viewings before I can decide about the rest. (A No Quarter would of been nice) The Stairway had an great extended section but could of been a few minutes longer. There are a few acoustic selections as well from the Earls Court performance and Paige is ever so solid on Bron Y Aur Stomp.

Extras- This aspect of the DVD was a little more dissapointing. There are a couple of interviews that don't provide anything substantial to even the new Zep fan. There is a French TV performance that is pretty interesting and shows the band in their younger stage. This DVD won't get into any of the history or famous anecdotes about LZ that the booklet from the box set describes.

Overall this is a must have for even the casual Zep fans. I hope they come out with the soundtrack as it would surely be well recieved. This is a DVD that you could sit down and watch or just put on in the background and listen to.

Summary: UN BELIEVABLE!
Review: I found myself yelling and screaming with the crowd as if actually at a concert-video and audio is THAT good. As we know some live Zep performances on bootlegs are not the best--THESE ARE. Truly illustrates the magic of a Zeppelin concert. I cant overstate how good this set is. And for the price? WOW! I am at a loss for words. My title says it best: UN BELIEVABLE!

Summary: I Have A "Whole Lotta Love" For This DVD!
Review: This DVD set by Led Zeppelin kicks! After watching this, I had a new found admiration of John Bonham as a drummer. He was as important a part of Zeppelin as Page and Plant. It's a good thing that there hasn't been any reunions so far with Page, Plant, Jones, and some other drummer; because the result would be lame.

I thought there were no weak parts. Hearing Jimmy Page's remastered guitar solo with a violin bow during "Dazed And Confused" blew me away. I am at a loss of words for "Moby Dick" where Bonham played heck out of the drums.

In fact, I watched the first DVD twice before watching the second. Disc two was very entertaining as well. Overall, I thought this was excellently produced and the quality of the music was superb.

The Zeppelin flies on!

Review: WOW! , This is well worth buying for the die-hard zep fans.
I especially like on disc 2 where they do the UN-Plugged set.
Great to see Bonzo banging again.
And Plant's Soprano singing is in fine form.
Also Page really tears it up in his wide range of guitar sounds.
Many extras also. Plus it sounds Great ! ZOSO

Summary: I always thought "The Song Remains the Same" was great,,but
Review: This collection of performances is beyond phenomenal. I still like "The Song Remains The Same" and always will, but this DVD does just blow it away. Its hard to believe that the 1970 recordings can sound as good as they do in DTS or 5.1 but trust me the sound quality is as good or better than pretty much anything recorded today. It does indeed sound like it was recorded yesterday. Jimmy Page is not only a master guitarist but a master mixer/producer as well. Of course no music presented today can even touch the energy or pure rockin talent Led Zep preformed. The 30 minute Danish TV section is worth the price of the DVD alone, but you get 5 hours more than this. And each concert section, oh my, just incredible. Among many highlights (the whole DVD is a highlight), check out Page's "bow" guitar in the 1970 concert, and John Bonham's drumming on anything, greatest rock and roll drummer of all time and it shows and sounds in thundering DTS sound. Best rock DVD ever --a must have.
