Summary: Nothing Significantly Different
Review: This is a decent flick, but nothing special. Nothing really sticks out. The acting is good, the filming is good, the plot is thin. Something to watch with popcorn on the off-season for TV. Usually that would get three stars, but it was suspenseful enough to get four stars.

Summary: Great War Movie
Review: After seeing the commercial for Behind Enemy Lines I didn't think that the movie was that good. But after watching Behind Enemy Lines I knew I was wrong. The movie was great. It is the best war movie I've seen it recent years. The cast for this movie did a great job. Especially Owen Wilson(Zoolander,Shanghai Noon), Gene Hackman(Hoosiers, Enemy of the State), and John Moore(The Saint). You should own this movie cause it is so good that your gonna see it more than once.

Summary: Pathetic Attempt to Raise my Patriotic Spirit
Review: I'm trying to figure out what movie everyone else who reviewed this has seen, since it had to be different than the one I saw, which was extremely poor. If you are looking for a non-feasible, flashy, "try to make us feel patriotic movie," this qualifies. But if you're looking for a quality movie without obvious loopholes, as I do, avoid it like the plague.

Owen Wilson's acting is sad. Not only is the character he plays the stereotypical "frustrated navy pilot trying to be a hot shot daredevil who turns out to be a hero in the end," but his portrayl of the character only helps to emphasize why you hate those characters. And up until now, I did not think I could dislike any character Gene Hackman played, but this movie proved me wrong. Though I say so with no discredit to Hackman as the primary disease in this movie was the script itself.

There are a couple unique tactics the director takes with it, such as sudden pause frames and slow-motion takes. And the special efforts are of course great. But nothing could have saved this script. Overall, it's a very lackluster attempt, and I only gave it a two stars instead of one because Hollywood has done worse. If you want to see Hackman in a real Navy officer role, do yourself a favor and go with "Crimson Tide."

Summary: AWESOME
Review: This was a great movie. I think they had great actors and a good storyline also. The movie constantly keeps you thinking. The thing I really like about the movie is it wasn't all fake. What I mean by that is you can tell all the gear he wears and the boats are real. It even takes place on a real navy ship. It's not just a fake Hollywood Navy flick, the stuff they do and wear is real. I think they portray very well what the Navy is really like.

Summary: Okay Movie
Review: I went to this movie without many expectations, my boyfriend dragged me to it. Its an okay action movie with mediocre special effects. The plot though, is another story. Owen Wilson escapes and dodges what seems like thousands of bullets. I'm all for believing Americans are capable of everything, but this movie is a bit too unrealistic.

Summary: Awesome. Just plain awesome.
Review: This a great movie. Sure, you see a lot of reviews out of there complaining about storyline and stuff like that, but this is one of the best action/war movies I've ever seen. My only complaints are Owen Wilson, (I HATE him,) and there were a few parts that set themselves up to be hugely scarring and frightening but turn out to be the least important parts of the movie. (This is done by melodramatic camera angle, blaring heavy breathing, and fast-to-slow motion on unimportant parts.) All around, this was a pretty great movie for people who love great shoot-em-up action thrills. (It's not gory at all, either.) Great film.

Summary: entertaining
Review: It's an entertaining movie. Not one I plan to add to my library, but worth the rental price. It's a typical action movie, with strong performances by Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman (he does so well in this type of role). Nothing spectacular about it, but it is enjoyable.

Summary: An Awesome Film
Review: Behind Enemy Lines was one of the greatest war movies I've ever seen. It beats Pearl Harbor and is just a hair short of Saving Private Ryan. You could never guess what would happen next in this fantastic movie. Owen Wilson, Gene Hackman, and John Moore did a superb job working on this movie. Everyone should own this movie cause it's worth owning. Don't miss out!!!

Summary: Good Movie
Review: this is one of those movies you will enjoy the sound effects also the movie. Gene Hackman continues to show why he is rated A+ actor. The movie has great action, one you will see again.

Summary: A load of rubbish
Review: This movie was ludicrous. There was little if no character development and the plot was just plain bad. Wilson was acting as if he was still in Zoolander (i.e.: playing an air-headed model) and Gene Hackman did not do himself justice taking on a role in such a poor movie. The idea behind the movie is good but the story is simply unbelievable. The scene where Wilson runs through a minefield tripping 20 mines ("Bouncin'Bettys) and emerges without a scratch is the icing on the cake. The only redeeming quality of the movie are the special effects and the musical score (hence the two stars). Having spent 14 months in Bosnia, I was hoping for an intelligent movie or at least a semi-believable one. I guess I will have to wait to see "No Man's Land". DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME WITH THIS MOVIE. If you are still intent on seeing it I will send you my DVD for free. I don't want to taint my movie collection with this one.
