Review: Having watched this movie more than any other in my lifetime I was really happy with the transfer to disc. I thought that the sound was good but not the best as the movie is older. The video quality however, for an older movie totally blew me away. Out of the 115 movies that I own this is easily #1.

Summary: Awesome, a true film classic!
Review: This movie has always been one of my top favorites both for just being a great movie to one of the best for sound. The launch off the flight deck at the beginning of the movie is one of the most awesome visual and audio recordings of a carrier launch that I've ever seen. I haven't stood on a carrier deck during a launch but this is the closest I've been. I fell in lust with Kelly McGillis in this movie and have loved her since. And, as a pilot but not jets darn-it, I loved all the flying sequences.

Review: Take a ride on the wild side! I can still remember the day I got my first car. The only tape I had was the TOP GUN soundtrack! Put thing that thing in and drive like Maverick. The first CD I've ever bought was the TOP GUN sountrack, and now following tradition the first DVD I bought was TOP GUN too! If you guys ever come to Toronto, we have TOP GUN the ride at the Paramount Park.. AWESOME!

Review: Top Gun is the best fighter jet movie i've ever seen. It takes you up to the sky, it makes you feel happy, scared, sad, cheering. It has the best sound affects i've ever heard in movies. It shows you what real jet pilots are up against. If you love Jets, and fighter aircraft, this is the movie for you :)

Summary: Greatest movie of all time
Review: This movie is the movie that I grew up with, and to this day its still the best movie of all time. This movie has wonderful combat scenes,acting humor and action. However I have found a few mistakes. When Maverick is flying with Sundown, Sundown's helmet has his call sign on it and when they're walking it doesn't. Also at the end when Maverrick is talking with Ice man on the aircraft carrier Maverick has his sunglasses off. When he gets picked up they miraculassly are back on, the little details always get you.

Summary: TOP GUN: THE PHANTOM MENACE
Review: Having been a Naval Corpsman with the vile task of assisting Flight Surgeons in thier evaluation of the physical and mental attributes of pilots and pilot-wanna-bes, I can only assume this "film" to be a recruitment video...nothing more, nothing less. While I concur with SEAL/TEAM below that the video montages are thrilling, viewers should keep in mind that Navy pilots are by definition pricks who do not sing in bars, walk into womens bathrooms, buzz towers, or care about...things. They are barely distiguishable from psychopaths. One should dread thier very presence, and forgoe the worship stuff in favor of Satan. THIS IS NO SUCH THING AS A LUKE SKYWALKER. A DARTH VADER MAYBE.
