Summary: One of the Best Movies of All Time
Review: The Naysayers simply do not understand what this movie is all about. The "trust your instincts" and competitive attitudes depicted in this film excellently portray a mindset that will lead to success in any field, whether flying an airplane or sitting behind a desk. All this with the magnificent soundtrack and breathtaking cinematography and direction.

Summary: For viewers who likes MACHOS!!!
Review: Tom Cruise plays maverick, the cooliest guy in the world and at the end of the movie, he kills all the vilains. Non-realistic movie, but some scenes are enjoyables. Val Kilmer is absolutelly poor!!!

Summary: Awesome Movie
Review: Top Gun is one of the best movies ever made and looks even better on DVD. Even though it doesn't have much in the way of extras, I'll take quality any day!

Summary: Total Garbage!!!!
Review: Unlike the previous "Viewer from US", this is not realistic Navy life. This movie is so distorted it is laughable. Watch this movie as a comedy, not anything approaching reality. It's a total Tony Scott MTV commercialization (which he ueses again in "Revenge"). The only redeeming quality are the flying sequences (which are to take place over water, yet you can see the mountains in the background). For more realism watch "Red Flag" with Barry Bostwick, even though it may still be only seen on TV.

Summary: One more reason I love DVD...
Review: Top Gun is not a realistic depiction of life as a Navy Pilot. The plot is predictable and Tom Cruise played the same cocky kid he played in every movie he was in in the 80's. With that said, I must say that I love this movie. Young men across the country can quote this movie line for line - Some of the sharpest, most clever dialogue ever. The soundtrack fits perfectly and still sounds fresh over a decade later. The DVD version is FABULOUS. The Dolby 5.1 sound and crystal-clear picture bring this experience to a new level. (Try reading the names on the jets - as they fly by...) This movie should be a mandatory addition to anyone's DVD collection.

Summary: Best movie of all time...HANDS DOWN!
Review: How can you not LOVE this movie? The flight scenes place you right in the cockpit of Maverick's F-14 Tomcat as he and Goose go face to face with the enemy. This action, combined with the perfect choice of music makes you want to jump into the action yourself. Anyone who's even remotely into fighter planes will love this movie. I've seen in 75 times and I still can't get enough of it!

Summary: The best movie
Review: This movie is the greatest. It is my favorite movie of all time. The planes, the guys, and the music are suprior. Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, and all the rest are shown with their true talents. Some say it ain't realistic. It's a movie not supposed to be real. I highly recommend it to anyone who has dreams.
