Rating: Summary: Worth Seeing, But Doesn't Do Justice to Its Subject Review: This movie tells a story which certainly deserves to be told. During World War II, Britain sent hundreds of agents to Nazi-occupied Europe to provide support for the resistance movements. Some of these agents were indeed women, and their heroism should be remembered.Unfortunately, this movie doesn't quite live up to the potential of the subject. The leading character is not well-developed before she is sent into action, so we don't care about her fate as much as we should. The action is disconnected and hard to follow. There is also a certain cynicism about the motivation of some agents which is not historically justified and which says more about our time than about their own. Despite its defects, "Charlotte Gray" is still worth seeing. Let's hope that someday a film will be produced which does full justice to the heroic agents of Special Operations Executive.
Rating: Summary: Really Bad ! Incoherent ! Review: What a bad movie ! I like Kate B but why is she playing in this...? First, she's selected as a spy to go to France because she's a french speaker and what a surprise to see that once in France, everybody speak english ! What a Joke ! ...I'm french and I didn't know that in France people were english speakers ;0/ I put the french language option through the DVD and it's not better...All the actors are english or american so it means that there is a french dubbing ...and this is very bad.Voices are ridiculous. Now about the story, there are so many incoherences in the story. It is in my oopinion the movie you need if you are tired after a long day.You will sleep quickly so much this stuff is long,boring..
