Summary: Admirably realistic
Review: The only weakness were some Poles posing as Germans and even SS guards, like the woman with the whip who in a maternal more than authoritarian tone of voice orders the women to return to work.

The scene in the shower at Auschwitz anticipates gas to emerge rather than water, but none of the prisoners who merely rely on hearsay, has undeniable proof of gassings.

We hear of millions extermninated in various camps, but the total combined would by far exceed the total number of European Jews. In the Auschwitz case the numbers given by diverse sources contradict one another, the number claimed by the Soviets having been given foremost consideration for decades. Unlike the countless survivors, my father, a non-Jewish Pole, perished within two months of his arrest in Krakow in 1942.

We do need truth, but we need absolute truth. My compliments go to Steven Spielberg.

Summary: Staggering and Sublime
Review: Not only is this masterpiece the greatest film ever made, it can be considered one of mankind's greatest artistic achievements, to be compared with the best of Mozart, Shakespeare and Michelangelo. Using the subtle but startling shadings only black and white cinema can produce Steven Speilberg has created a protean achievement both thought-provoking and shattering in content and scope. Ralph Fiennes frightening portrayal of the concentration camp commandant shows the horrifying side of a human both sad and twisted. Liam Neeson and Ben Kingsley give performances equally compelling. John Williams musical score is flawless, evoking an emotional response without overcoming this disturbing story about a German industrialist who slowly learns about the Holocaust and tries to save the few Jews he can from certain death. This miraculous piece of cinema should be required viewing for anyone interested in the human condition and the depths and heights to which we all can reach.

Summary: Easily one of the best movies of all time
Review: What a truly AWESOME film! Moving, exciting, well-acted and well adapted, this is a must for those who want to understand the true horrors of the holocaust. I love the black and white (colour would look wrong for a sad film like this) and the harrowing scene with the girl in the red coat. Liam Neeson was good- but Ralph Fiennes was amazing. One of the finest acting performnances I have ever seen. I didn't mind the killing either- a holocaust movie without death would be like star wars with no space ships. If you want to see a truly epic film, forget Ben Hur, Titanic et al, Schindler's List is THE BEST

Summary: A Movie That's at the Movie Industry's Peak
Review: This is one of the best movies that Steven Spielberg has ever done. When I saw the movie, I began to realize the true horrors of the holocaust. Unfortunately the neo-nazis think that the holocaust never happened even though we have so much evidence. Spielberg is at his best in directing in this movie! I respect the opinions of those who gave it low ratings, but I suggest, this is only a suggestion, that you see the movie again and watch it more carefully. This movie is supposed to be serious because of its focus. Because of this movie, Spielberg set up the Survivors of the Shua association. I think that the story of the Holocaust needs to be told, because in Kosovo, we are seeing a second holocaust.

Summary: Mixed Feelings I guess
Review: I saw this movie several times and to tell you the truth, the more I see it the more boring it gets.Oskar Schindler is played by Liam Neeson,an actor who isn't one of my favorites.Neeson's character is excellent and stands out,but all supporting roles are sketchy at best.If you are interested in the Holocaust, buy this. It's a good film because it shows that horror doesn't have to be monsters,Chucky,or living dead or anything like that. The world's worst horror is man killing man and this movie proves it.It did not have to be this long(I got the idea when the movie was 2 hours through).

It isn't Spielberg's best. You must see Saving Private Ryan.Much better than this overlong melodrama. That movie shows the essence of war,the infantryman war.Later!

Summary: Steven "The Genius" Spielberg
Review: If you got a soul, if you got a heart, if you got brains, you will surely love this movie, but if you don't forget it. A very beatiful and touching movie, perfect, a masterpiece by one of the greatest moviemakers of all time, a true film about humanity, not about good jews and bad nazis, about the reality of a great drama in our history. I felt very touched with that movie because it's so rich, so full of human experiences that it really makes you wonder about thousands of values, an feelings and of course it makes your heart glad as it has never been before. A must for any member of the human race.

Summary: I loved this Brilliant work!
Review: This is some of the best acting I've ever seen. Spielberg brings out the true horrifying deeds of the German concentration camps. He's never been better in any other movie he's ever made. I highly recomend this to anyone who enjoys a masterpiece.

Summary: Five, Ten, Fifty Stars Can't Do This Movie Justice!!!!
Review: Truly one of the true cinematic achievements of the decade, if not the century. To those who gave it one star, and especially to the person who said "go watch your dog sleep instead," I must ask if you actually watched this movie. A brilliant testament to the horror that was the Holocaust. May we never forget.

Summary: Not a "movie"-a "film"
Review: There are only a few "movies" I consider as true "film", and this is one of them. One cannot help but be effected by this masterpiece by Stephen Spielberg.
