Summary: Slap stick at it's best
Review: One of Val Kilmer's early performances. Top secret is a perfect movie if you're a fan of films like Airplane or the Naked Gun series. It's stupid but funny stupid.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Chuck off at the iron curtain
Review: Val Kilmer stars in a gerat chuck off at the Iron Curtain. This movie is about a U.S. rock star who tours Eastern Europe and joins a band of outlaws who are trying to rescue a spy. The numerous one-liners and 'accidents' and props (including a flying fireplace!) make for a complete crack-up!! For some strange reason, this film was not a box office smash.

Summary: You've Got To Hand It To The Germans - They Make Great Cars!
Review: This is a funny, funny movie. I'm glad Paramount has taken the time to give the Zuckers' series of silly movies the love they truly deserve on DVD. Airplane! and The Naked Gun both have had running group commentary with the Zuckers and others involved with the respective productions, and Top Secret! looks to be no different.

This DVD will include deleted scenes which I hope will include the rare "apple grenade" gag in the castle dungeon with Dr. Flamont. And I eagerly await the Zuckers' technical explanations of some of the sight gags such as the falling NAZI who explodes like so much porcelain. Or my favorite being the, uhm... something-something Intruder. You'll know it when you see it.

Oh, and as for the Ford Pinto gag ("Ding... BOOM!"); don't worry, I got it.

Summary: Top Secret- Airplane-style cliches at thier finest
Review: This is the madcap Zucker Bros. at their best ( or worst as you may see it). The film is "tongue-in-cheek" from start to finish. A bit dated (as the plot calls for a plan to reunite Germany), but the sight gags and puns are non-stop, not to mention Val Kilmer's rendition of Elvis/James Brown onstage antics and music and a hilarious version of "Are You Lonesome Tonight" View it seven times and you will discover you missed things each time that you were laughing and skipped overbefore. It isn't for the "normal" viewer,...your sense of humor must be skewed to the off-beat satirical side. However, if you liked Police Squad and Hot Shots this non-stop insanity will light you up...!

Summary: No 1 comedy ever
Review: There is only one word that can describe this movie: UNBELIEVABLE!! Best comedy ever written...The more you watch it, the more you find things that you hadn't mention before. A must-have for a serious DVD collection.

Summary: An odd funny spoof of the Early Eighties.
Review: When a Rock & Roll Star (Val Kilmer) visit East Germany for a Concert. He falls in love with Hilary (Lucy Gutteridge), a spy and he becomes involved in a Plot to free her scientist father (Micheal Gough).

Directed by Jim Abrahams, David and Jerry Zucker (Airplane, Ruthless People) has made an oddball spoof. Actor:Val Kilmer does really sing in this film. A Box Office Hit. Originally Filmed in Super 35. Grade:B+.
