Summary: The Unforgettable Musical Classic
Review: I think Friedrich is cute. His voice is just really handsome and pleasant to listen to. His looks are handsome too. A very manly guy. He's also my favorite boy out of the 7 children. Well, the movie was really good. My favorite song was . . . well, I don't have one. They're all great! Maria is a nun who becomes a governess and is then sent to care for the seven children of Captain Von Trapp. They're Liesel, Friedrich, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta, and Gretel. I didn't like the Baroness that much. I didn't know that she didn't like children until the part when she said, "Haven't you ever heard of a delightful little thing called boarding school?" What else happens? Watch it to find out! Even though it used to be two separate tapes, I like it as one tape better. Now, it is. It's the best movie I've ever seen. I highly recommend it!

Summary: This is the best family musical ever filmed.
Review: The acting and singing are superb. The scenery is magnificent. It has romance, action, mystery, and comedy. I have toured the Salzburg settings where the movie was filmed twice and am amazed at how well the director captured the beauty of the area. It is a timeless movie that the whole family can watch and enjoy. Many of the settings used in the movie are the actual locations where the real story took place. A must see.

Summary: This movie has everything in it-and more.
Review: I first saw The Sound of Music in sixth grade music class. I thought it would be dull at first but then I learned this movie is the greatest musical of all time!!!!! It tells the story of a lovable, misfit nun named Maria who is sent to watch the sour Captain von Trapp's many children. Though they want to get rid of her at first they grow to love her when Maria teaches them how to sing. She even wins over the captain and they get married. Later they are forced to flee from Austria when the Nazis invade the country to Switzerland. A powerful, heartwarming movie that will bring a smile to everyone's face and leave a song in everyone's heart. Music, comedy, romance, drama-you want it, its got it! The Sound of Music has everything a movie lover wants-and more.

Summary: ABSOLUTELY HEAVENLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: The first time I saw the Sound Of Music, I was 19 yrs. old and to this day, 34 yrs. later, I am as enthusiastic, intrigued, and mesmorized by this unforgettable musical !!!! The songs are absolutely delightful, due to the ever graceful and enchanting Ms. Julie Andrews, the scenery is exquisite, the acting (by the entire ensemble) is simply marvelous, and the revolving theme of love and human spirit echoes throughout the film. This is not a musical created just for children or the elderly but a TRUE work of art that shall continue to resonate in all generations till the end of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: The greatest movie of the 20th century
Review: The Sound of Music is my favorite movie.I saw it for the first time when I was a little girl,in 1967. After that I saw again several times. I think that it's a big movie:scenery, music, story and of course all the actors are wonderful! My little girls saw the video and they enjoy it so much. Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer play their best character.

Summary: ONE error does not spoil the film
Review: The Sound of Music has always been my favorite. But last week I found that someone had pointed out in a film review that the youngest child of the 7 children in the captain's family was 5 years old BUT HER MOTHER HAD BEEN DEAD FOR SEVEN YEARS!

I am not so critical of the film I love. ONE error does not spoil a good film, anyway.

Summary: A NEVER-TO-BE-FORGOTTEN MOVIE
Review: I am a teacher of English in P. R. China and I always start my first English lesson to my new students(whoever they are: teenagers or adults)with a song from THE SOUND OF MUSIC. This has been my first choice for 18 years. All my students were impressed both by the song and my way of making friends with them. We became good friends soon and that always helped me with my work to follow later on. I love the film and so do my students.

Summary: How DO you solve a problem like Maria?
Review: I watched this about once a year when I was a kid, and I liked it for all the normal reasons: good tunes, a fun family, majestic scenery. But a few weeks ago I watched it with my roommate (we're both 23-year-old men) and although we were actually quite giddy initially - the "Hills are alive" shot is still a sugary jolt - we got pretty tired with it and could barely make it to the intermission. Is any family remotely that cute? Would the baroness stand a chance against Maria in a zillion years? Just how many teen ingenues did they have to turn down before they settled on the lifeless actress who played Liesl? She's 16 going on 17 pains in my neck. Still, it is a story you can root for, and Julie Andrews is a dear. As in doe... ou know the rest.
