Summary: EXCELLENT!!!
Review: Our family started watching this ten-part series on HBO and it quickly became a Sunday night ritual. The students in my 16 year old daughter's US History class was given extra credit if they watched it, and she, too, became quickly absorbed. I find myself wanting to set down with these Veterans and talk with them about this important piece of history that was so vividly brought to life, to thank them for fighting for the freedom that we so take for granted today. They, and all of our Veterans of every war and conflict, are truly heros and to tell their story is important. When this comes out on video or DVD, I will be among the first in line to buy it and add it to my library!

Summary: Band of Brothers
Review: There has never been such a masterful display of what war must be like in the eyes of soldiers as this. You could feel, without a doubt, what these "citizen soldiers" felt, from the excitement of the first jump, to the delight of capturing Hitler's Eagles Nest, and the relief of the end of a war. Each episode let you have a glimpse of what was happening to this band of extraordinary men, from very different points of view, and different ways of thinking. The men of this company are ones you would have admired and loved, from the Company Commander (Maj Winters), to 1st Sgt Lipton, to Bill Guarnere. This is a must see for anyone who ever have an interest in what it means to sacrifice for your country. I hope HBO doesn't make us wait too long before we can own this superb work of art.

Review: The sooner you can get this GREAT series out on DVD the better. Because of my work schedule, I could not see all of the episodes and would love to catch up as well as watch the previously viewed episodes over again. This series is entertaining and moving!

Summary: Band Of Brothers
Review: I could go on to sing the many praises that "Band of Brothers" deserves, but all I can think of is that "Band of Brothers" is one of the single most amazing pieces of media ever produced. Anyone who has not had the opportunity to view it should make every attempt to beg borrow or steal a copy.

Summary: THE BEST DEPICTION OF WAR EVER - BAR NONE
Review: The bar by which all war movies or series et. al. will be judged has just been raised by "A Band Of Brothers." All other movies pale in comparison, with the exception of "Saving Private Ryan."

Whereas in terms of technical and period accuracy both SPR and BOB are both equally the best I have ever seen, however BOB far outdistances SPR in pure human drama. BOB allows the viewer to develop a sense of intimacy with the characters (members of "Easy" Company) which up until now, has never been accomplished. Thus the sense of heart stopping fear, rage, sadness, joy, and sheer shock overwhelm the viewer just as those soldiers surely must have experienced.

What makes this tale all the more amazing is it's historical accuracy. Having read Steven Ambrose's book, I must admit that the screenplay is a faithful and mostly accurate representation of the book and events of the war in the "Eastern Theater of Operations."

BOB is filmaking at it's very best. If you only buy one war genre film, buy Band Of Brothers.

Summary: One not to miss!
Review: My review comes from a slightly different angle. I have only seen pieces of the miniseries but have just finished reading the book. I eagerly await the release to expeirience the trials and triumphs of E Company. I highly recomend both.

With deep respect,

Summary: "E" as in Excellent movie
Review: If you're looking for a movie that actually gives the real story of what war was really like this is it. The shots, story and location were great. It shows you what our military men felt in that moment which was fear, bravery, courage, confusion and sadness to all those who never made it after the war. These guys were great and will always be admired for their courage.

Summary: Best WWII film ever made!!
Review: I am not a mini-series type person, nor do I religiously watch anything on television, but I absolutely loved this series. I probably have seen each episode at least four times. This is first class stuff! HBO needs to make this series available on DVD.

Summary: HBO's Band of Brothers
Review: Based on Stephen Ambrose's book of the same name, Band of Brothers is a must-see for anyone who is interested in World War II history or American paratroopers. It is an extraordinary history of Easy Company, of the 101st Airborne, following the men and officers from training into Normandy, Holland, and Germany, cumulating in the capture of the Eagle's Nest. At ten hours, I wished it could be longer. There are interviews with veterans at the beginning of each episode, which adds to the interest. The cinematography is outstanding and unflinching. The cast is enthralling. Simply put, it is one of the best programs I have ever seen. Be careful; this series is amazingly addictive.

Summary: Band of Brothers - Band of Fans!!!!
Review: I learned so much about our history of WWII. I was on the edge of my seat during the entire series. Not since I was a teen have I been a fanatic about a TV show. I was so sorry to see it end. Who does the marketing? I want collectibles, T-shirts, posters, and especially the DVD!!! I can't wait to watch it again!
