Summary: One of the Best
Review: Band of Brother is one of the best accounts of men in combat. Next to Saving Private Ryan, I believe this is the best movies (mini series) ever made... I am looking forward to adding this DVD to my collection...soon I hope!

Summary: An introduction to WWII
Review: I am NOT a war buff. That being said for ten sundays in 2001 I could not be dragged away from the television while this mini-series gave me an entertaining history lesson. The direction was excellent. HBO has a real winner with this series. If you enjoyed Saving Private Ryan, this is a can't miss prospect.

Summary: Hanks/Spielberg Tribute
Review: Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg have for many years decried the fact that this country has no official WWII war memorial. With this miniseries, they have created a more befitting memorial than any brass statue could hope to be... This should be part of every school curriculum - it is as captivating as it is educational!

In my humble opinion, this is the best miniseries to hit television ... ever!

Summary: Loved it!
Review: Great Mini-series. A war history buff must see. They are all heroes. The actors portraying their characters in the series are very well done.

Summary: The epitome of film
Review: Unbelieveable in all respects. The historical accuracy, both in story, props, and special effects is unparalleled. All parts are acted magnificently. The rest of the movies nominated for academy awards should feel fortunate Band of Brothers was ineligible, for it would have likely taken Oscars in every category. This is not jus a film for history buffs or action movie fans. No matter what your interests or opinions of war or war movies may be, this minisieries is an absolute must-see for anyone who enjoys the freedom of this great nation. It is truly a gift to be able to have such an insight into the bravery and sacrifice that defined a generation, and solidified us as an American people. The story of Dick Winters and Easy Company will leave you in awe, not only of a great film, but of an incredible story of patriotism, courage, and friendship.

Summary: In the Tradition of Saving Private Ryan
Review: HBO's mini-series, BAND OF BROTHERS, was an excellent depiction of soldier vignettes from the Stephen Ambrose book of the same name. Well researched with use of actual locations when possible, this series goes beyond the Normandy Beachhead through the destruction of the Third Reich. No expense was spared to ensure that combat and noncombat soldiering scenes were realistic. BAND OF BROTHERS will be a welcome treat when it is eventually released as a DVD.

Summary: Superb!
Review: This is perhaps one of the most touching and well-done films I have ever experienced. It is a treasure to be watched again. I experianced the full gammet of emotiuons while viewing this wonderful film. This has made me appreciate even more the courage, sacrifice, and honor with which my Grandfather and other WWII veterans fought.

Summary: Thank God for the men of Easy Company and those like them
Review: For those that think that patriotism, honor, valor, and morality are things to scoff at, this is must see viewing. Saving Private Ryan was great, but it was a fictional story. Keeping in mind that the events shown in this series actually happened (and I'm sure the survivors of E Company have no room for the revisionists that say the Holocaust never happened) makes a lot of difference in the impact the film makes.

Thanks, members of E Company, for what you did during the war and after, and for sharing some difficult memories with the rest of us. Let us not forget them.
