Summary: Band of Brothers
Review: An excellent series detailing the heroics of my grandfathers' generation. He was in the 101st in a different company. While I've heard him talk about bits and pieces of his experience for my whole life, I never had a full picture of what he did "over there" until seeing this series. After watching Band of Brothers, I sat him down and interviewed him on videotape for several hours - that tape is something we will always treasure in my family. According to Granddaddy, the reason he is here today is that those guys of EZ and the other first-in companies did such an incredible job of clearing the way. Certainly a topic worthy of the 8 hours and whatever HBO spent to make it, and certainly worth my $... when the DVD comes out. Let's have it, HBO!

Review: This series was a brilliant piece of work. When watching it weekly I felt as if I was there with these soldiers as if a was a real person living through the war and their exsperiances.
HATS OFF TO TOM HANKS and to the soldiers that fought and died to defend freedom.

Summary: Excellent
Review: This was a great miniseries! This is a must-see if only out of respect for these heroes! No always easy to watch because of the true life situations, but excellent acting. The stories are very, very good.

Summary: Amazing mini-series.
Review: I saw each episode twice. Several times my wife would come into the den and find me staring at the TV long after the show had ended. I would be muttering "unbelieveable" or "amazing" or some other adjective that did little to describe the actual show. My father in law joined the 101st after WWII and was trained by many of the men in Easy Company. He often said they were the bravest, most knowledgeable and most humble men he had the honor of serving with. They had a distant "look of wisdom" that other young soldiers did not have. I cannot wait for the DVD to come out. It should be mandatory viewing for every high school student. They should appreciate their grandparents and great-grandparents sacrefices. Amazing!

Summary: Band of Brothers
Review: I found Band of Brothers to be a compelling tribute to all war heroes and a wonderful history lesson. The actors were well chosen and they each delivered a fine performance. What a WONDERFUL suggestion for a Father's Day gift!

Summary: "Freedom isn't free."
Review: As I watched the 10 episodes of BOB I felt many strong emotions. The best movies have this effect on me. By the end of the story I was ready for peace. Thank you WWII veterans for doing what needed to be done regardless of what personal sacrifices you were called upon to make. You stand shoulder to shoulder with the best of our nations' heroes. Thank you Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and all the rest who brought the story to television. This is the highest and best use of the medium.

Summary: A Great Film Based on an Even Greater Story
Review: Not only is this the greatest war movie I have ever had the opportunity to watch, it is also, without a doubt, the best miniseries of our time. The story is compelling (and, even better, true!). The cast is superb (most notably, Damian Lewis as Dick Winters) and the entire production is well- executed...realistic, emotional, and thought-provoking. The story provides a human face to the war without coming across as a propaganda film (as so many of the older, less shockingly realistic films have a tendency to do). It has sparked an interest in me for WWII and D-Day I never thought I could have (such interest is just not that common in females under 35 to my knowledge)because the personal stories and the actions represented are, quite simply, gripping. It is a must-see not just for war buffs and action fans but for anyone seeking a great story and a great film.

Summary: Best Series Thing Ever on Television
Review: There has never been anything that has at once captured the spirit of a generation, the significance of the history, the bravery of soldiers, and the spiritual character of individuals under the ultimate pressure.

Summary: The most incredible Series I have ever seen
Review: Absolutely superb series.Top to bottom the best War related movie I have ever seen, and I have seen them all. I am a WWII fanatic and an Army vet myself. This series greatly exceeded every expectation I had prior to seeing it, and the acting performances were nothing short of spectacular. Particularly the performance of Damien Lewis (Major Winters).

My only complaint is the fact that I do not own this series on DVD yet. I hope HBO doesn't drag their feet on this one as they have with their releases of The Sopranos.I am troubled by the fact that there is no release date in sight, and to release this set without the two part documentary which originaly aired with the series would be a crime. Get it done HBO!!! DO it right and do it soon...

Summary: Band of Brothers
Review: The only reason that I rated this item 5 stars is because there isn't a higher rating available. Better than Saving Private Ryan, and accurate enough to be on the History Channel. This is a must have for action fans, and historians alike. Each episode is better than the one before it. It will leave you in awe. It is beyond good. It is extraordinary.
