Summary: WOW!!!
Review: This series is the best cronicle of WW II that I have ever seen. This miniseries became an event in my family. My Grand Father, Father, Uncle, Brother all tuned in on Sunday Night on HBO to watch. This miniseries showed the difficult side of war. The realism was extremely vivid.

Summary: A memorial to easy company on film
Review: This series is not only true to the book but potrays the reality of war & it's cruelty. Although I'm from the other side of the pacific, I'm still filled with pride for what these brave men did during those fateful years. I'm really looking forward to getting hold of the DVD series which comes with plenty of extras & a nice tin box. To the family & friends of Easy company, I salute you!

Summary: This is a must buy DVD set!!!
Review: I have been waiting for the release of this DVD set ever since I saw the first episode on HBO. This is by far the best WWII series or movie I have ever seen produced. If you have not seen it BUY THE DVDs. If you have BUY THE DVDs. You'll enjoy the experience and sympathize with the characters. Also, read the book by Steven Ambrose. It will make watching the series that much better.

Summary: Outstanding tribute
Review: I read the book Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose. After reading the book, I felt I knew each of the men in 'Easy Company'. HBO announced that they were doing a series based on the book, I was a little skeptical. This series is an excellent companion to the book. It is hard to believe that Damian Lewis is not American. Ron Livingston as Lewis Nixon was perfect, as was Donnie Wahlberg as Carwood Lipton. When I learned that David Schwimmer would be cast as Lt. Herbert Sobel, I knew that the casting would be perfect. Who really shines in this series is Frank John Hughes as Sgt. Guarnere.
Telling a story about a 'company of heroes' could be subject to dramatic license, but that is not the case here. I have learned that each script was passed among surviving members of Easy Company and was approved by them before filming. As true and real as a movie about the horrors of war can be, the shelling of Bois Jacques in Bastogne is horrifying. This is a must see series and comes with the highest praise I can muster. God Bless the Airborne.

Summary: Excellent Tribute
Review: I watched the widescreen version of Band of Brothers on HBO and thought it was an excellent tribute to those brave men who sacrificed so much for us today. If you enjoyed Saving Private Ryan then executive producer Steven Spielberg has given you another WWII epic to thoroughly enjoy. If you bought Saving Private Ryan and haven't seen Band of Brothers then BUY IT. It is an excellent DVD to add to your collection.

Summary: Finally!
Review: If you didn't see this fantastic series on HBO, do yourself a favor and order these DVDs. The series is superb. You get to know the characters and live what they live right along with them. This was one I was sorry to see end. Can't wait to own this DVD set for my own.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great for everyone, not just WWII buffs.
Review: This mini series had it all. I think this series does a better job of showing viewers what it was really like to be there than any previous production, with the possible exception of Saving Private Ryan. Definitely check this out!
