Summary: Great System
Review: Bought this sytem at a great price from a local retail chain in chicago. Got it home and loved putting it together. The sound is incredible. The unit is sleek and very stylish. The remote made my friends jealous. The only complaint that I have is that the spaker wire is too short and those freaky clips at the ends make it impossible to fine replacement cable. I also wanted to find the speaker stands. Called JBL and they couldn't give me any info. I would give this sytem a 5 because it is so great but I have to give it a 4 because of that really short speaker wire, accesories being impossible to locate, and lousy JBL customer service.

Summary: very compact
Review: I really like this set up for how inconspicuous it is. The speakers sound solid. The only problem with mine is the cd player spindle is out of alignment and some cd's will actually scrape against the player's plastic chassis as they play.

Summary: Very good product, extremely poor service from JBL
Review: This is a very good product with room filling sound (25x13 feet) and very attractive appearance. The surround sound works very well with DVD movies. Actual use of the product is very smooth and with a little work, everything can hide from the view. It is an excellent value for the money.

Problems: The speaker wires use moulded fittings that make the setup a snap. According to the manual the three front speaker wires were supposed to be 20' in length but in reality they are barely 10' if that.

Attempting to contact JBL customer service proved to be a challenge. Long que times, que drops and more frustrating of them all, when finally a person answers the call, they are extraordinarily useless. I spoke with three people, one at a supervisory level, at least six times and sent four email messages to get the extension cords they promissed for the speakers. After waiting for over one month, I cut the speaker wires and spliced good quality wire in the middle to make them reach where I wanted. If you need longer cables, do this and save yourself some time.

Don't bother to call JBL. You will get only frustration

However, you will not regret buying the product, highly recommend it.

Summary: Great item
Review: We got this for our master bedroom. To our surprise we thought we were in the entertainment room. Great sound. Easy to setup. User Friendly. The remote is credit card thin which we really like.

Summary: Small size, great sound
Review: We wanted a unit of this type because of its size (NYC apartment) and because of its childproof nature (it sits high up on a little shelf - only the subwoofer is within easy reach). The only other competition at the time was BOSE (Yamaha now has a similar unit, as does Harmon-Kardon which is JBL anyway). Although there was a very slight difference in sound quality between JBL and BOSE, it wasn't worth the price difference. The unit is easy and intuitive and it gives great big theater quality sound. I will sometimes switch between the pretty good stereo sound on the TV and the JBL unit just to reassure myself that my money was well spent. It is very user friendly. Installation was a snap. The "source" is pretty light and plastic and can feel a bit flimsy, but it has held up admirably so far. The only downsides are the remote which is credit-card size and has a habit of getting easily lost in the couch, and that a power interruption loses the radio pre-sets.
