Summary: What a steal!
Review: Like everyone has said, they are great for the price, but you do need a sub to make up for the high cut off in the frequency response. I plan on buying some higher quality speakers in 5 years or so, but for now, these suit me just fine. I'm considering buying another set of them to have music through out my house instead of just in the family room...

Summary: Very good - but get a subwoofer
Review: Like many of the other reviewers, I bought these to get an inexpensive start to my home theater system. For the money they are entirely adequate for both movies and music. Note however, that I have them placed in a small family room and do not play at abusive volumes so I haven't really tested their limits. One thing you'll notice immediately is the weak bass response. I went out within a week and got a powered subwoofer (8 inch 100 watt Yamaha)so now I'm completely satisfied with the setup.

I also took the advice from other reviewers and replaced the cheap wire that was included with 16 gauge speaker wire.

For smaller rooms and reasonable listening volumes you really can't go wrong with these.

Summary: Small Speakers...Big Quality
Review: These speakers are perfect if you are starting on a surround sound system for the first time. They are small but they pack a lot of punch and have great quality sound. These are especially great for college kids. I am bringing these to my dorm this year and they are perfect for the size of my room. Easy to setup. Just make sure you get good quality speaker wire(not necessarily monster)and a good receiver. One things it lacks is a sub. I purchased a KLH sub which happens to be number 2 on amazons best sellers right now. With a sub this speaker set is an incredible buy and great way to start your surround sound experience.

Summary: Home Theater ... GREAT! Music ... BLAH!
Review: These speakers perform exceptionally well with any HOME THEATER setup (Dolby Digital, DTS, etc.) This, of course, only applies if you use a powered subwoofer with the setup. Most people who have half a brain will buy a subwoofer anyway.
With their 100 Watt power handling capacity, these babies really scream. Once again, I am only referring to their use with HOME THEATER setups. The sound from the speakers is well defined and plenty loud; they have never distorted, crackled, hissed, or popped on me, even at extremely high volumes, and that is a big factor in my awarding them five stars. My AMP pushes 110 watts/channel and these speakers never even flinch. The center speaker, likewise, performs its purpose with style, offering exceptional quality sound. Dialogue in MOVIES is clear and well enunciated, not muffled or metallic like other HT setups in this price range.
One must remember that these speakers are built for home theater, and that's what they will do well with. Do not buy them if you are planning to use them for music. Even with a subwoofer, they will still not sound as good as speakers designed for music. The setup I would recommend is to connect these speakers to you "A" outputs on your Dolby Digital/DTS receiver, and then connect a pair of nice MUSIC speakers to the "B" outputs. Then, you can use "A" for movies and "B" for music.
KLH has done well with delivering the goods. As an avid home theater buff, I have never second-guessed these speakers, nor have I ever considered replacing them with something more expensive and supposedly "better." And the price? Don't let that fool you. KLH cuts costs by eliminating advertising and marketing. Have you ever seen a KLH ad ANYWHERE? I bet you haven't.
Bottom line: If you want good (and I mean GOOD, no....GREAT) home theater sound and PHENOMENAL value, buy these speakers. Just remember, they aren't designed for music. You wouldn't use a Ferrari instead of a tractor to plow a field, would you?
A little analogy there. Hope it helps.
Enjoy.

Summary: Very Fluid Speakers!
Review: These speakers perform very smoothly, especially when watching high quality, DVD based titles. The center channel provides great response to the vocals and the four satellites provide the other high frequency sounds you would come to expect in a movie theater. When used with music they can go louder than you think, with a capacity of 100 watts, and combined with my 350 watt KLH 5001AV floorstanding speaker, The sound proved to be far,far beyond expectations. If you are in the market for speakers that don't cost an arm and a leg, but yet provide the sound you are looking for, KLH is there for you. Their products perform just as well as those that put a strain on the walllet. Just be sure to position them correctly in your listening space, providing enough distance and height between them to capture their full range of sound. And also be sure to get a sub woofer or a floorstanding speaker, or two, to reinforce the bass. Very satisfied with this company and it's products.

Summary: Awesome Set of Little Speakers
Review: These speakers sound awesome. They can handle quite a lot of volume without distorting the sound whatsoever. The only thing I would caution is to make sure you have a receiver with an adjustable crossover frequency, because if they do distort, it's because of the low bass being sent to them. If you raise the crossover frequency, the problem disappears. Also, don't even think of getting these speakers without either having or planning on getting a powered suwoofer. They don't put out all that much bass on their own.......

Summary: KLH hits a home run!
Review: This system is a 5-star value that perform almost as well as its more expensive counterparts, but does it for significantly less.

The sound is pretty dynamic and is surprisingly crisp and clear. I found that its range was enough to have me hearing everything from other parts of the house, when the sound was turned up rather loud. I love it!

Summary: The cheapest thing I could find and it works just fine.
Review: This was the cheapest thing I could find ANYWHERE, and the only thing I was worried about was wheather it worked. It does, and the sound quality is perfectly acceptable.
