Summary: Not satisfied at all...
Review: Before buying this system, I read some reviews at audioreview.com, where some people detected problems with the magnetic shielding of the N-center speaker. I didn't pay attention to that and tried my speaker at house...surprise....when I placed my center speaker on the top of my tv set, the upper corners turned violet. People, this speaker has serious problems with magnetic shielding, and I don't recommend it if you're going to use it in the top of your tv. Believe me, and I'm not first victim. I had to raise my speaker about 7 cm above my tv set, to solve the problem. (I was not supposed to do that, you neither).

Sonically, the system is great, but don't forget adding a good subwoofer. Good blend.

Summary: Fantastic JBL quality
Review: Best value out there, fantastic sound. Its amazing the sound quality that comes out of these speakers, never thought a 4 1/2 woofer could produce accurate base. I added a JBL subwoofer, and it's outstanding sound. I have this in a large room, 700+ sq feet with high ceilings, and it does a great job. Also, I have 0 trouble with magnetic shielding from the center, as noted by a couple of other reviews here.

Totally satisfied....

Summary: Fantastic JBL quality
Review: For the cost of these speakers the output is great... I think it would suffice to say they are inline with HTD level two's, or Energy take 5.2's... You have to add a sub though! Of course many of you would disagree, but IMHO they are great!

Summary: Great speakers at a great price.
Review: I got these for Christmas this year and... wow. Actually I coupled this set with the 10 inch subwoofer and the sound is fantastic. Sure, you could play double or triple the price and it might sound a LITTLE better, but if you're looking for an inexpensive alternative to high priced audiophile systems, this is it. JBL is a name you can trust and with all the hardware needed to mount these on your walls out of the box, this is the system to beat.

Summary: No bass, very clear
Review: I use the N24s for surround in my home theater and the N Center as my center channel speaker. The center speaker delivers very accurate speech and is very clear. The N24s are great for surrounds, but they are lacking for front speakers. I use the N38s for the fronts. These speaker will provide very little bass, so movies will not be that spectacular. You are better off buying everything seperate since you don't get a great price discount by buying this "system" which will just actually be all the speaker seperate.

Summary: Real Theater sound w/sub
Review: I've owned the JBL NSP1's since April 2000, and coupled with my Audio Source SW15 - 200watt powered sub, my blockbuster DVD's (i.e. ID4, Men in Black, etc.) sounds more impressive than the local SF Bay Area Cinema DD / DTS / SDDS Theaters - or at least that is what my friends and family have told me! HT Speakers & Sub REF Calibrated via Video Essentials DVD ...

...

Performance: . . . All I'll say here is that these speakers work together perfectly as an ensemble. The timbre matching is as good as any I've heard; that is, outside of systems that consist of five identical speakers.

The N-Center matches the sound of the N24 extremely well, better than Home Theater Direct's Level Three center matches the sound of its Level Three bookshelf. That excellent timbre matching lends coherence to the sound of the entire system, making movies seem more like I was hearing them in a real theater, not a home theater."

Highly recommended, but add at least a 12" powered sub for a killer HT setup!

Summary: Great Value And Sound
Review: These speaker sounds great. Looks Good too. No problems with shielding. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they can only handle about 100 watts. When I hooked them up to my parasound amp (220 watts per channel) just for the sake of curioisity, I blew them.

Summary: JBL Home Theater
Review: This is a fantastic system for the ultimate movie (especially DVD) experience. The sattelites are small enough to mount or hide, but the sound clarity from them is amazing. Unless you are a true audiophile, you won't be able to tell the difference between this system and the higher priced models.

The center channel can pump out 150 watts, while the sattelites can handle up to 100 watts. That's certainly enough to wake the neighbors! And it does it while remaining crystal clear.

The only caveat in regards to this system is it lacks a subwoofer. Adding one later is simple enough, and not even entirely necessary.

Summary: The Best for the money
