Summary: KICK OFF YOUR SHOES, SIT BACK, AND ENJOY ENGLAND.
Review: This is a delightful and informative Travelog that is also a relaxing trip to England's West Country. It is smoothly presented with good photography as well as an unintrusive background narrative that is delivered in a pleasant voice.
Best of all there is no ego-ridden, self-promoting face in every scene, stuffing himself with food and talking to the natives in an effort to entertain himself more than his viewers.
This DVD makes a really nice armchair visit to an interesting part of Britain and I sincerely hope to see more just like this one showing us other parts of England in just such manner.
As a dedicated anglophile who has traveled freqently in the West Country, I find that I don't really need to "hear" the guide, so sometimes I turn off the sound and use the changing scenery as "wallpaper" while I read. It is nice to glance up from my book and see the Exeter cathedral or Dartmoor -- and it almost makes me feel as though my window opens onto one of my favorite parts of England.
