Summary: What a difference!
Review: We bought this dvd after seeing Dr Karp on the Dr Phil Show.Our baby was 4 weeks old when we recieved it in the mail. The dvd is so easy to watch and learn from. The swaddling was our lifesaver. Before this dvd, we were not swaddling our baby correctly and he would not sleep unless we held him. Now he sleeps 3-4 hours at a time(in his crib!!!!) before needing to be fed. Just make sure that your blanket is big enough to swaddle correctly. You can even purchase blankets from his website which is what I did after i knew that it worked so well! Every new mother needs to watch this!

Summary: Life saver
Review: I am normally wary of these sorts of "pop child-rearing" items but the techniques on this disc are pure gold. I was able to get my 3 week old to settle down in only 3 minutes last night, whereas previously she would fuss for 60-90 minutes at a stretch. Get this disc, watch it, and remember - swaddle tightly!

Review: AN ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE FOR ANY NEW PARENT!! When our daughter was 2 and 3/4 weeks old we watched the "Happiest baby..." video and did everything Dr. Karp said. Immediately our daughter, started sleeping 5-6 hours through the night! By 6 weeks she was sleeping 6-8 hours through the night! People were jealous when we told them how well she was doing! My husband bought several copies to give to other new parents we know. It's my standard baby shower gift from now on! Dr. Karp and his 5 S's rule!

Summary: "Must watch' for fathers
Review: As a first time father, this video was invaluable. From day 1 in the hospital, I was able to calm our new baby. At a time when most fathers say they feel powerless, I did all the soothing and baby handling (save the breast feeding) while my wife was recuperating in bed. We both love this video and also recommend you show it to your families and caregivers so everybody is on the same page.

Summary: Happiest Baby on the Block
Review: I LOVE this video! Most of the moms in my breastfeeding support group have used this video to calm their babies during the "fussy" times. Many of us have watched the video over and over, learning how to perfect the techniques. As a nurse and lactation consultant, I have used the techniques very successfully with newborns and infants. There is a RARE baby who doesn't respond just like the babies in the video. It is amazing to watch them calm down instantly. This is a must-have for every parent of a newborn.

Summary: This Doctor deserves ROSES!
Review: This DVD saved our lives. After 2 weeks of constant mylecan (anti-gas) drops, the pediatrician hinted she may have colic and told us to "burp her more." I cannot explain how frustrated and exhausted we were. I've never felt more helpless. My husband heard about the famous, "5 S's" and ordered "The Happiest Baby" DVD. After watching the DVD, he was able to calm our daughter down in literally, a matter of seconds. My husband, like most men, loves being able to do something to fix a problem. This DVD gives specific steps to help "fix" a crying baby. Every new mom and dad NEEDS this info... more than diapers, more than baby outfits! Wrap the baby in Daddy's flannel shirt and spend the saved money on the DVD. Give this as a baby gift instead of onsies. And send that Doctor ROSES! What a godsend you are, Dr. Karp. Thank you!

Summary: New parents can't live without this!!
Review: This is one of the most useful and valuable tools that we had at our disposal for the birth of our first born. He was sleeping 6 hours at a time at night, one week home from the hospital! Most of our friends were up at least every two hours. Not us. Because we used this technique. Thanks for the sleep Dr. Karp! You are a God send!

Summary: The Happiest Baby on the Block Video
Review: We are parents of 8 month old twins. Prior to their arrival in our life we spoke with some other twin parents. They highly recoommended Dr. Karp's video. We borrowed it and liked it so much we purchased our own copy. I love how methodical the approach is presented, it's really well explained and well demonstrated. And it truly works! It was a life saver for us. When we had some people come and help us with the boys, we shared the video with them to show them the method and how to do the swaddling. We are connected up with other twin parents and we all gained from the use of this method. The joke amongst us is that we "Karped" them to sleep. Or, "yeah I can imagine swaddling them until their 18!" I'll never know for certain, but our boys are good sleepers and I would like to think it's because we got them off to a good start by using Dr. Karp's method.

Summary: I feel like a magician!
Review: I am a postpartum doula in the Los Angeles area and I teach all my clients the 5 S's! I find it works ever time and I feel confident that when it's time for me to leave my clients, they are left in good hands with the DVD. It's really true that when you aply all the 5 S's you can calm even the fussiest baby!
