Summary: Finally, Bryan Kest on DVD for some true Power Yoga
Review: I am so happy to finally have a Bryan Kest routine on DVD, and a good one at that! He hasn't lost his touch for creating a routine where I can get my dose of authentic yoga alongside a physical workout. I really like his knowledge about both of these important things in my life: getting my head on straight, and working non-competitively on all the physical benefits of yoga like strength, toned muscles, stamina, etc. Thanks to Bryan for all his expert guidance!

Summary: Totally disappointing
Review: I have been practicing power yoga for two years and I found Brian Kert's dvd totally disappointing. Power yoga isn't a simple physical exercise- and this is the way Brian sees it, or at least this is what his video presents. It's not all about building muscles in every single part of our body; if this is what yoga is then why don't we all work out at our local gym instead. Yoga is all about physical and above all spiritual equininity. In order to get in touch with our inner part and feelings yoga should be practiced in a relaxing place with an instructor who can make his students relax and LET GO, not tense throughout the practice! Brian Kert isn't a professional yogee, he is instead a common trainer for body building and working out with the only difference that he uses some yoga poses instead!!!! So sorry Brian, but if you can't teach yoga stick to the things YOU are good at!

Summary: The Best Yoga Workout!
Review: I have done many yoga workouts from Denise Austin to Rodney Yee, but this is by far the best!

The workout is challenging enough for advanced students, yet simple enough for beginners. He is constantly reminding you to only do what you can do, and shows plenty of modifications.

His personality helps to keep the DVD interesting no matter how many times you view it. He presents yoga in an interesting format, without being overly mystical. Yet he touches the heart of yoga when he discusses the unchanging quality of us, which is represented by our breath.

Summary: Very Inspiring
Review: I really liked having this 60 minute routine to add to my collection. Bryan Kest is an amazing teacher who has inspired me to develop a regular yoga practice. That has got to be one of the greatest gifts a teacher can give. I have no problem waking up and doing his yoga on a regular basis, something I've never been able to do before. Thank you, Bryan!

Summary: Working muscles I didn't know I had.....
Review: I recently bought this DVD after borrowing this one and Bryan Kest's Yoga for Weight Loss. I love them both. They are paced at an intermediate level, so if you are advanced in your practice you might not feel as challenged as his Sweat/Energize/Tone set. I felt this one was perfect for me,as it gave me poses I felt I was good at, a few I needed to modify (at least for now) and ones that I am trying to master. This keeps me challenged, and that is what I am looking for in a workout. Most of all, to get the complete benefit, you need to pay attention to the breathing, which is the most important aspect of doing your yoga practice. I do this workout at least once a week and alternate with strength training, aerobic work outs and just about anything that will keep me interested and motivated. The one drawback is that he talks way too much at the beginning of the class. This easily could have been done at the introduction section. Other than that, I felt this was a wonderful addition to my yoga practice and would suggest to anyone that would like a change in pace from their normal workout.

Summary: This guy talks too much..I wish he'd just get to the workout
Review: I've bought a lot of yoga videos and this ranks among the worst. Normally you can select a chapter to avoid all the talk...well not with this DVD. You get a talking chapter and you get a chapter that's supposed to start the workout, only it actually just starts more talk. Then when the workout really starts it's hard to follow because his verbal directions are so poor. This DVD has the potential to be good if he would stop talking and give better directions. With all the DVDs out there you can do a whole lot better than this one!

Summary: Power Yoga at its finest!
Review: I've tried many yoga tapes/DVD's and found this one to be extremely beneficial. It left me feeling energized as well as exhausted at its conclusion. I lift weights and run on interval days. This power yoga DVD gives me a change of pace as well as a fantastic workout. I love the INTENSITY of the workout and it works muscles I never knew I had. I would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Great workout but...
Review: The workout is very good. It is very challenging and I always feel like I got a great workout when I'm done. The problem is Mr. Kest. I have to turn the volume all the way down because he is so very annoying! His vocal tone, poor use of the English language, and accent really grate on me. It actually keeps me from wanting to do the workout!!

Summary: Good Challenge for Beginners
Review: This DVD is a good investment for a home collection. All of the poses are attainable, nothing too fancy, but the workout is great. It is an especially strong leg workout. I have been doing this DVD for a year now, and have not tired of it. It was my first DVD and has proved a good foundation to get into other types of yoga. I highly recommend it!

Summary: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Review: This has got to be the worst workout ever, if you even get a workout. I kid you not this video is only forty minutes long, and he talks for the first 20. Not that he ever stops talking throughout. His insipid, trite, uninsightful commentary throughout his "workout" made it impossible to concentrate. And it it is neither intense nor advanced. Advanced should require little commentary on basics, like the fact that you need to breathe. I almost couldn't even finish it. I've had better more advanced yoga in my sleep.
