Summary: Amazing results, even on my strong willed dog
Review: This DVD has been amazing for me and my dog ginger. Ginger is a Jindo mix, a hunting breed that is known for being strong willed and difficult to train. I've bought a few books and where they have failed, this DVD has succeeded. She has gone from pulling on her leash and having very selective hearing to understanding how to walk on leash, heel, sit and we're working on other commands.

The DVD is clear and shows you exactly how to do things with real dogs, unlike books that spend half a page telling you just how to hold a leash and end up just confusing.

Summary: Fun DVD
Review: This is a fun DVD. Reading books on dog train is helpful but seeing dogs being trained is even more helpful. This DVD only teaches the basics. It's not one long video, but is divided by each command. So if you're teaching your dog to stay, you go to the DVD menu and select "Stay." And the two trainers are very pleasant and watchable.

Summary: Best Dog Training Video I've Seen
Review: This is a great video - humane training techniques presented in a clear, well-organized manner. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Excellent Positive Training Tips
Review: This organized and well produced DVD made it very easy to get the tips necessary to train my dog. Each command is on a separate chapter which makes it wonderfully easy to review the training tip that I was interested in.
I enjoyed the wide varitey of dogs used in this DVD. Interesting tips were used for both large and small dogs. (I don't have a short legged dog, but was fascinated that this was covered in the section on "down".) My dog loved Nicole's voice, and watches the speakers intently when she praises the dogs.
This DVD is great; practical and fun to watch.

Summary: Limited clicker training
Review: While this has good training instructions, the on-line review over emphasized the clicker training aspects. The DVD talks about clicker training but does not show actual training with it, as it does with other ways of training.

Summary: Absolutely Positively WORKS - and it's soooooooo easy!!!
Review: WOW! HAS THIS TRAINING WORKED!!!!!!!!

Our Border Collie pup is now 15 weeks. I've been using the techniques from this DVD for 2 weeks now, and had IMMEDIATE results.

I'm using a clicker in conjunction with training treats, which has been an unbelievable success. We've even SURPASSED the skills on the video, and have come up with new ones of our own, using the same techniques, with no difficulty.

One tip: because you use SO many treats for "payment/reward", I decided to go to a well stocked pet store and look for a soft, small size kibble food to use for treats. I found one that is low cal/light - as I don't want to get off on the wrong foot and accidentally pile the pounds on a growing puppy (very hard on joints/growth plates to have an overfed pup).

There is no time wasted in this training dvd with small talk or lectures... they get right to the point in a clear, precise, no non-sense manner.

These gals have a very gentle technique: soft voices, smiling faces, all of which they present in a calm/peaceful atmosphere. Clearly, they have a genuine affection and respect for dogs - and that translates into training US to be the same (more compassionate and patient dog owners).

This program is extremely suitable for young children to use as well. I highly recommend it.
