Rating: Summary: A superbly produced, animated folktale Review: The Legend Of The Three Trees is a superbly produced, animated folktale of three distinct trees (an Oak, an Olive, and a Pine) and the roles they played in the story of Jesus. Each tree began with their own particular dreams and aspirations -- but met with what seemed to be bitter disappointment, only to emerge with truly unique roles in "the greatest story ever told". Hal Holbrook's narration is nothing short of masterful, the quality of the animation is flawless, and the story is totally engaging from beginning to end. The Legend Of The Three Trees (VHS, 30 minutes, full color) is a wonderful addition to family, parochial school, and community library video collections for young viewers.
Rating: Summary: VERY GOOD! Wonderful story! Review: This is a favorite for my children as well as myself. We all love this DVD and the book that is by Catherine McCafferty. Don't mistake it for the "Tale of Three Trees" which isn't as good.
