Summary: So much better than Barbie In The Nutcracker!!
Review: I bought Barbie In The Nutcracker last year. I must say that it was "ok" but not great. But Barbie As Rapunzel is so much better! It kept my attention so much more than the Nutcracker ever did! So I say the same for my eight-year old niece. I highly recommend this movie for girls of all ages LOL!

I agree the graphics will remind you of a video game but you'll get passed that! Happy viewing.

Summary: Great movie for little girls!!
Review: I bought this movie after renting it several times for my daughter. After 2 months she still hasn't gotten tired of watching it! It is the cutest movie for little girls and it actually holds her attention through the whole movie unlike alot of the others i have got. I would recommend anyone with a three year old girl to buy this movie! They will love it, even if they don't play with Barbie.

Summary: I'm a 16 year old guy, and I think some of it is cool!
Review: I bought this video for my little sister, who is in to barbie. she loved "Barbie in The Nutcracker", so I got this one as a gift. She was happy I got it right away, I put the tape in the VCR. The plot is slow, and at times girly, but has some cool action. There is a part where the Prince, has a sword fight. The
animation is way better than most other kids movies, at times it looks real, overall this is for girls, but boys like me, may have fun seeing this too.

Summary: Another great movie from Barbie
Review: I love watching this movie with my 5 and 3-year-old kids. This is truely a fun and enjoyable movie for kids of all ages and even adults. Also this movie is very child-friendly with very little frightening scenes compared to Barbie's first movie "Barbie in the Nutcracker". Even the evil Gothel wasn't that scary compared to the evil Mouse King. The picture quaility is very good, and the music is delightful. I'll recommend this movie to everyone.

Summary: Inspires Children's Imaginations!
Review: I was so surprised to see the lukewarm reviews about this video. My 4 1/2 yr. old son and 2 1/2 yr. old daughter watched it repeatedly when we rented it from the video store, so now we are buying it.

I watched it with them several times and was completely enchanted with the original twist on the familiar Rapunzel tale. This version is full of interesting characters, including dragons, dueling kings, and even children. I loved the entire concept of the magic paintbrush as a portal into the village. How unique!

Sure, the animation wasn't exactly as well-done as, say, "Finding Nemo," and the story line was less than perfect, but it was certainly exciting and interesting, even to an adult who was watching it repeatedly with her preschoolers.

I was hesitant to introduce my daughter to the world of Barbie, so to speak, but now that there are such fun new fairy tale characters and ideas to explore, I am much more of a fan.

Summary: Very impressed
Review: I'm 11 years old and I liked this movie, it was the only thing on one day, and I was instantly hooked, my little cousins also love it. I mean it was a twist on the orignal story, yet it was sort of classic, although it was mostly not, I was inspired to go out and buy the dvd and the doll! It even inspired me to see the other ones, yet this one is still my favorite.

Summary: So much was expected, but so little was delivered
Review: Imagine the excitement of my three year old daughter and myself when we found Barbie as Rapunzel. Imagine the anticipation as we put the DVD into the player. It then would be hard to imagine MY disappointment as I tried to sit through the movie. The animation was, as Nutcracker was last year, reminiscent of a computer game. But Rapunzel failed where the Nutcracker sparkled. The story lacked charm and in some cases, rambled. Many of the characters were at best redundant-- the Kelly incarnations which in the Nutcracker were endearing, appeared to be nothing more than marketing tools for the doll in Rapunzel and came across as annoying.
If the movie's producers want to see the difference between a cartoon classic and a forgettable piece of animation; they need only look at their entrancing debut film, and their disappointing follow up.

Summary: Excellent Movie
Review: Just like Barbie in the Nutcracker, this movie is excellent. Keeps my kids sitting quietly for the entire movie. Recommended. MY kids watch it about twice a day.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great for Little Girls
Review: My 5 year old daughter loves this movie and so do I. The animation is terrific and the story is quite different from the original fairy tale. I liked the story line change and it made for an interesting time. Barbie can make many more movies!
