Summary: LOVED IT!!!
Review: I absoulutley loved the first Balto movie. It was a great warming tale ..

But this .. this is just different. Sure, it's an okay movie .. but it has several faults to it in my eyes .. smaller children might just adore this movie as much as they did the first Balto.

The animation in this .. the new animators you can clearly tell just aren't that good or are extremely lazy. I can say 100% they could've done an weller job at making this movie than what they just did here. the wolves are deformed ..

Another thing is i find the plot a bit corny. Balto and Jenna have a litter of pups and all of them were sold except for Aleu, the one who looked most wolf out of them all [ since balto is part wolf and jenna is pure siberian. ]. Well, when she finds out that she is part wolf, she throws a wild fit and goes out to " find who she really is. " On her journey, she finds that her spirit guide is a MOUSE. yes, a MOUSE. out of all things, this part husky, part wolf's spirit guide is a mouse .. ! Balto comes and follows her, they come across a wolf pack and meet four deadly wolves in a giant wolf pack. One of these wolves is like, an overweight, one is fleabitten, the other .. i don't even know what to say about him .. and one is just the leader of the small gathering. The whole pack is really led by an elder wolf. Their food runs out, aleu finds out that it's across the ocean or whichever .. and yeah, aleu leaves with the wolf pack and becomes the alpha female.

When Balto leaves Aleu with the pack and such, he finds that Aniu, the white wolf is his mother for like .. a split second before he leaves. And that's the end ..

Personally, i wouldn't want to get this movie for myself. Hardly any of the old characters are in it, Aleu is a stubborn mutt .. and Balto's personality went through a major change ..

Summary: Not for young children
Review: I believe this movie is a bit too "deep" for most children. I don't think they will understand what the movie is trying to get across to the audience and by the time they would understand the meaning of this movie, they won't want to watch an animated movie. My almost 3-year-old grandson would not sit still to watch this movie, but would watch the original Balto. Otherwise, it was a fairly entertaining movie and one that kept your attention (if you were older!).

Summary: Simply awful... a poor excuse for a sequel!
Review: I had high hopes for this movie and I so desperately wanted to like it, but that simply was not possible. I loved the first Balto and still do, and after over 7 years waiting for the sequel this is how I was rewarded.....

First of all the story line was in a word bad. It was a cookie cutter plot that seems to be popping up in in other movies like Lady and the Tramp 2, ect..... This is probally why they couldn't get the original voice actors back for the sequel. My only admission was that the animation was "fair", however it was still no where near being the quality of the original.

My biggest problem with the movie was it was riddled with new age mysticism and earth worship. What is with all this mother moon, mother earth, grand design stuff. Hollywood needs to keep its religion to itself. I had a huge moral problem with the content of this movie and ended up turning it off about 3/4s of the way through.

As I said before, as a Balto fan I sincerely wanted to like this movie, but in the end I simply could not stomach it.

Buy the original you won't be dissappointed!!!...

Summary: poor excuse for a sequel
Review: I had high hopes for this sequel which is why I actually bought a 2 disc set which included both the first film and this sequel. In a way I am glad I got them both, now I can warn others to stay away from the sequel and stick with the original. The first Balto was great...great and simple story...my 2 year old loved it from beginning to end.

The sequel; however, had too much humanism and naturalism themes in it that I as a Christian parent do not want my daughter to be exposed to at this early stage...and fortunately, half way through she was totally bored with it and begged to see the 1st Balto. There are also many frightening elements in the movie that does not make it a good movie for little kids, I'm talking about spirits that appear as real animals than whoosh disappear into thin air...overall even as an adult, I thought the movie was very boring and this is coming from someone who loves cartoons!

Summary: Good Movie
Review: I really like this one. Good story. Good music... I also like how it incorporates American Indian Animal Spirit Guides. From what I can tell, these are accurate, although vaguely described. I do wish they could have found a way to incorporate something about Dog (Loyalty) and Wolf (Teacher, Pathfinder) though.

Summary: Great sequel
Review: I've loved the first Balto movie when I first saw it, and I still do. When I saw the previews for "Balto II: Wolf Quest" I couldn't wait to see it, and when I finally saw it the day it came out I loved it! :) It was a bittersweet movie, and I thought it was better then most direct-to-video sequels. I loved the plot, the songs, the charactors...everything. Everything except the charactor animation and Balto & Jenna's voices. I liked Kevin Bacon and Bridget Fonda better. All in all, I loved Balto II: Wolf Quest, and I give it 5 stars and 2 paws up! lol :)

Summary: My review...
Review: If the creators were to work on the movie a little longer, it probably would've been a lot better. The story line, it has the weak points and strong points. The animation, same as story line. The songs are great, they work well with the story line, something a lot of movies with music don't have. So in all, it's all right, but like I said, if they put a little more effort in the movie, it could've been better.

Summary: Yuck
Review: If you liked the first movie (or even if you didn't) then you'll hate this one. The script, plot, and music are all terrible. About the only thing you'll enjoy is Disney's classic animation.

It looks like the storywriters were trying to write the "New Age Gospel" for kids and decided to use Balto and his daughter as the missionaries. If you're gonna do that at least give it a decent plot. Example: That little mouse that sings a song -- and a poorly-written song at that. It's entirely new-age-ish and doesn't really help the plot along at all.

Where the first movie was based on a true story, this one doesn't contain one scrap of truth. While that's okay for a film, it sure is a disappointment to those of us expecting a true extension to the story.

If your local library has a copy, maybe that's worth looking it, but don't waste your money. Buy the first movie instead.

Summary: A Lesson in Earth Worship
Review: If you want to get your children catechised in Earth Worship using characters from a prequel, this is the movie for you. Rather than enjoying a movie with a sensible theme (adolescent daughter rebelling against her father...though that is hardly sensible), you are given a lesson in Earth worship with praises to 'Father, Son and Sister Moon'. We fast-forwarded through half of this crock.
Please, let the parents instruct their children in religion. Movie-Makers, stay out, mind your business and give us a story.

Summary: Two Paws Way Up!
Review: It was a lot better than I expected! They animation is a little awkward at times, but very beautiful! The songs are nice too; my personal favorite is "Taking You Home." The music is awesome!

Before the birth of Jenna and Balto's children Balto keeps on having strange dreams, and is clueless to what they mean. Then comes puppy adoption day, and all but Aleu, a spunky brown pup who looks even more like a wolf than her father are adopted, and a hunter tries to kill Aleu because of her looks. Balto is forced to tell her that no one will adopt her because she looks like a wolf, and Aleu runs away. A raven spirit guide and the spirit of Balto's mother guides him to Aleu, and guides Aleu to her destiny. They find a wolf pack and soon the message in Balto's dreams is revealed. They must guide the wolves across the ice bridge to follow the caribou to survive. At last Aleu finds her role in life and becomes the alpha of a wolf pack, and Balto must return home.

But behind the colorful atrt and music lies a meaining to the story: Everyone has a role in life, but you must beilive and be yourself to truly find it.

This is a wonderful film that the entire family and fans of the original will surly enjoy!
