Summary: "I'm Talkin' to You, Furhead!"
Review: An American Tail: Fievel Goes West is truly one of the greatest non-Disney animated films I have ever seen! Directed by Steven Spielberg, the story is simple: Fievel the curious, adorable little mouse from An American Tail, now heads out west with his family, to escape the constant violence of New York City. Everything about this film shines from start to finish, including James Horner's soundtrack, which is every bit as good as in the original film. The songs are nothing less than outstanding, especially Dreams to Dream, sung by Fievel's golden-voiced sister, Tanya, who is voiced by Cathy Cavadini.

Fans of the original American Tail are bound to enjoy Fievel Goes West as well. It's a great movie for kids, or for anyone who enjoys a great animated flick! Highly recommended! (Oh, and check out the first American Tail movie as well, if you haven't already. It's just as good!

Summary: Liked it better than the first
Review: As for this movie, liked it better than the first, I guess It's just more my style. "Dreams to Dream" is one of my favorite songs. The story is cute, and somewhat heartwarming. as for all these people who think the presence of Jimmy Stuart's voice is the best thing of the movie, sure his voice was probably the perfect choice, but theese two movies as well as one other cartoon "the Secret of Nimh" has made me a Dom Deluise fan. He is the one that is awesome, expesially for the part of Tiger.

Summary: Uh, Fievel...come back east.
Review: For those of you who loved the original, and don't want to see the disspointment and the fact that this didn't live up to the first one at all, just skip this one nd move on the the third and fourth ones.
Don Bluth should've watched who he gave the American Tail rights to. To get away from the violence of New York and to find new opportunity, the Mousekewitzes take a train out west to a town called Green River. Fievel gets tossed overboard mid-way through the journey.
This is exactly what it appears to be - a bad western movie. The plot isn't good, the story never really gets off the ground, and while Dreams to Dream s nice, it's nothing special. So just skip this one - its not very well done at all.

Summary: Uh, Fievel...come back east.
Review: For those of you who loved the original, skip this one and move to the third one. Why? To avoid the dissapointment and the fact that this sequel doesn't live up to the original. Don Bluth should've watched who he gave the American Tail rights to.
To get away from the violence of New York, the Mousekewitzes take a train out west to a town called Green River. Fievel falls off the train and - look,I'm not going to go on and on, this is exactly what it appears to be - a bad western movie.
I just don't see what everyone sees in this. The story never really gets off the ground, the animation is decent, but nothing outstanding compared to other films of the early 90s. The music isn't bad, but it isn't good either.
There arevery few songs and while 'Dreams to Dream' is nice, it doesn't compare to 'Somewhere Out There'. By the way, nothing in this film happened. This is all Fievel's dream, as revealed in the third film. Don't get me wrong, its a good movie, it just doesn't live up to the original, and it should.

Summary: Shame On Universal
Review: Shame on Universal for releasing this wonderful film in Pan & Scan only! It was released in Widescreen for laserdisc, so why not DVD?

Yet another botched DVD release from Universal (E.T., Back To The Future, Monty Python's Meaning Of Life, etc.).

Let's hope the executives at NBC can turn this out of control home video division around when they take the reigns after the acquisition has been completed.

Summary: The lasting impression of An American Tail 2.
Review: The first time I watched An American Tail II I was 7 years old and still to this day when I watch or even remember ATII I feel like a child again. That's what I call an impression! As you see the innocent little Feivel you just can't help but feel like he is you. I would very strongly recommend this truly great movie to any child (or parent!).
I have never been a fan of westerns, but this movie absolutly blew the lid off classic western movies!
I would like to commend Steven Spielberg in his conception of the greatest sequel of all times. I have never myself found sequels to be better than there origial. But ATII is really is better than the first. Well I don`t know. I was not even born when the first American Tail was released. But I have herd it was drepressing, and very disturbing for young children. Children movies should be happy and fun! Not sad and depressing like the original American Tail.
So I write to you this review after someone (a 5 year old)has recently refeshed my memory of the movie. It hurts me that this movie is nearly forgotten! I can`t find it in my movie case. So I went and tried to by it! I went to Blockbuster, Wal-Mart, On-Cue, ect., ect. I could not find it anywhere. Wal-Mart said that it was discontinued. And everywhere else said they just didn`t carry it. I hope Amazon takes check because my parents are too paranoid to put their credit-card numbers on the internet.
Well I am now going to call to you in-short my recollection of Feivel Goes West strait from my memory of 7 years ago from the first time I saw the movie. Feival and his poor parents live in the slums of the New York sewer. Feivel has A freind named Tiger who is a cat, but he is a vegitarian so he doesn`t eat him. Tiger has I big crush on his love Ms. Kitty who is always playing hard to get with him. Anyway they get a letter from Car R. Waul saying that there is this rich land out west with roads paved with cheeze. So lurded by this they go out west. While on there way out west Feival falles off the train. He has to survive all by himself. So Tiger is trys to find him. A funny part in the movie is where both of them are fooled by mirages and don`t trust their eyes and walk right by each other not beleving it's really them. Eventualy they relise that it really is them they catch up to Feivel's parents. Feivel finds out that the entire thing was a trick. Cat R. Waul is going to turn all of the mice into mouse burgers. And little Feivel has to save them! And well I can`t tell you the rest you will just have to either buy it or watch the movie again! (...)

Summary: FIEVEL - YOU WENT WEST!
Review: The first video was An American Tail and the second one was Fievel goes West and the third one was An American Tale 3.

I watched this movie yesterday night and today and this is Fievel who was a mouse.

I know Fievel was a cowboy but wore a cowboy hat and they went to Green River.

This reminds me of City Slickers videos by Billy Crystal.

FIEVEL - YOU WENT WEST & I love this video and I loved this movie which was cartoon and I love this video and they played a violin and there was a fiddle tune they played on the violin called Eight of January! 8th of January the song was an old fiddle tune called The Battle of New Orleans. This is a great movie.

Summary: this movie is awsome!
Review: this movie is one of the best american tail movies in the seiries. as of the second, it was made five years after the first. (and the year beofore i was born!) well, when fivel and his family have settled into newyork, the found the streets are not paved with cheese. then cat r waul, and his army of cowboy cat commandos herd all the mice into the sewer were he tricks them into going out west. meanwhile, after suffering the loss of his girlfriend, tiger fallows fievel out west and falls off the train, gets hit by another, and goes off the bridge and finds a dog fish! in the end the team up with wylie burp, and save the mice from being turned into mouse-burgers! as for cat r waul, he and his cats get shot into a mail bag, and taked away by a train! recomended!
