Review: For horsey People, this film is a master piece. The horses are beautiful. The Story line, is that a wild Silver Brumby,named Thowra for the wind in which he was born into, and how he becomes King Of The Cascade Brumbys. The end, shows The MAN chasing him over the cascades, and Thowra leaps over the side of a cliff, rather be dead than be captured. But only hids body died. His spirit lived on. It says that people still say that they can see a ghost of a silver horse, galloping across the plains.The story is exellent and very well done.

Summary: This story of the legend of Thowra never left my memory.
Review: I first watched this movie at about the age of seven. I never saw it afterward. The years passed but I always remembered that horse movie about the horse Thowra, but I never recalled the name of the movie.
Then, by a twist of fate, as I was viewing a filmography of Russell Crowe, I found the movie I had never forgot.
The story is wonderful, as a child and even now, I love it. The beautiful scenery of the wild horses will stay an imprint in your mind forever. Thowra is the majestic silver stallion. The Man, played by Russell Crowe, is obsessed with owning this king of the brumbies. He follows Thowra everywhere searching for and desiring the stallion. Thowra determines never to be caught but what will be the outcome of the steep climax that ends in the production of a legend and dreams. The Silver Stallion is a great movie for all horse lovers and dreamers. Go buy it now!

Summary: My favorite movie and I'm just a kid!
Review: This is the best movie I have ever seen! It has beautiful horses. (Then again all horses are beautiful) The plot is great! The end never makes me cry. In other horse movies the horse usually dies at the end, but in this one .....he does but he doesn't. You would have to watch the movie to know what I mean.

Review: Horses, stunning horses, magnificent scenery, excellent plot, very clever writing, a wonderful movie. I would have loved to be able to see some of the horse training clips. This movie is now one of my favorites. Still, "The Man From Snowy River" is my all time favorite!

Summary: Russell Crowe captures a special horse.
Review: Also known as THE SILVER BRUMBY (1993). This isn't the first time we've seen Russell Crowe on a horse.
It's a stormy night. This storm is different than any other storm. The wind is loud. A mother begins to tell her daughter about the mighty white stallion born on a wild spring storm like this one. Some say they have never seen him, others say it is a ghost. The mother horse tries to teach her pony how to survive in the wilderness. Along comes a man (Russell Crowe) who enjoys nature. He sees a stranded young cow stuck in the muck of a pond. He rescues the cow and tells it to go back to its mother, who was awaiting. He later sees the special horse and tries to capture it for his own, but the mother horse chases the man off. The mother horse then teaches her pony to learn the scent of a man.
Suitable for children. Beautiful cinematography and locations.

Review: For u horse lovers out there this is a definitly MUST SEE movie!!!! It's a GREAT story about a horse named Thowra which means wind, he was named that for the wind on the night on which he was born. One of the reviews said he dies in the movie....he doesn't die....they just made it seem like he dies, I won't say any more about the movie itself b/c I don't want 2 give anything away 4 u peeps that want to see it(lol). If u love horses then you'll love the way the horses are protrayed in the movie!!! They're so majestic and beautiful it's hard to describe....it's just one of those "see" movies to understand what I'm talking about. This is a definite family friendly movie!! If you have anybody that's horse crazy in your family....u absolutely HAVE to get this AWSOME movie 4 them!!!

Summary: The Silver Stallion
Review: This movie has to be one of my all time favorite movies. I saw it when I was just a little girl and to this day I still love it. The scenery with wild horses running and being free gives you the chills and gives horses a whole new meaning. This movie always keeps you on your toes and watching the whole time. If you love horses you will love horses. It makes me want to go out and ride my horse in the middle of a big a field and just run and be free.

Review: When I was little I found a movie about a glorious palomino brumby. I must have been about only four or five, but I was completely enthralled. Since then I have badgered my mom into renting it for me as much as I could. Finally after they didn't seem to carry it anymore at the movie rental stores, she bought it for me off of this website. And it has been by far the most viewed movie out of my families movie collection. It has always been my favorite movie. And since I love palomino horses with all of my heart, it fits perfectly. And I happen to think that Golden is the most beautiful horse that I have ever seen. She is gorgeous.
