Summary: Bear in the Second Rate House
Review: After watching Bear in the Big Blue House Live on DVD, I decided that the production really belongs on the stage and not on my television screen.

It is absurd, really, to film a second-rate recreation of the television version when there are countless episodes of the actual television show available.

In the live production, the sets are cheap and one-dimensional. The live perfomers are cheesy at best. The puppeteers are from the C list of theme park attractions. The puppets look threadbare and worn.

Don't spoil the magic of Bear by viewing this production. Stick with the actual television show.

Summary: This is top notch for kids of all ages
Review: I rented this video for my three year old son who really loves all the Bear in the Big Blue House videos. This really was a great video for both children and parents to sit together and enjoy.

Summary: My 20 month daughter loves this.
Review: My 20 month daughter loves this dvd - of all we own it's her favorite. Every day I can count on her saying "Bear! Bear! Bear!". She wants to watch this dvd. Now I got other Bear dvds and they are just 2 or 3 episodes on one dvd. This one is the live show and is jam packed with songs. During your typical show you are lucky to get 3 songs but this one has all the biggies. My daughter loves singing Good Morning (Rays song) and Bear Cha Cha. Other highlights are What's your Name - I think just created for the live show and is very catchy for adults too. Seeing this video makes me eager for my daughter to grow a little so I can take her to the next live Bear show. Highly recommend this show for your kids.

Summary: My 18 month old Loves It
Review: This video is really a collection of songs - most of which my son is familiar with from the TV show. He loves all of his Bear DVDs but this one he can watch two or more times a day and never loses interest. My only criticism of this movie is that it doesn't appeal to the adults in the room.

Summary: Our daughter won't turn it off!
Review: We went to see the actual show in January and our daughter loved it, so we picked this up. She has watched it 3-4 times a day since. Sure the puppeteers make some mistakes and you can tell that they are puppets, but isn't that the point? Bear's strings always show even on TV. Bottom line is that this DVD has everything that makes Bear has been the one show or character that she hasn't outgrown or gone through a phase of not caring about.
