Summary: Addictive, harmless fun
Review: My nephews (ages 3 and 5) adore this DVD. The continuous play option has been invaluable. The boys request to watch this at least once a day. In fact, this morning when the three-year-old asked to watch Baby Songs, I turned on the DVD player to find that it was left playing all night long. *L*

Grown ups, you will find yourself singing these bouncy little ditties at the most inopportune times. I found myself humming "Rub-A-Dub" as I was falling asleep a few nights ago.

Summary: This is The Best!!!
Review: My oldest son is 12. I just had another baby, but can't find my baby songs video. Matt absolutely LOVED this video-it kept him entertained for hours--and I sang along too. Yes, it was a little corny at first, but the little ones love it.

Summary: Keeps kids interested that's for sure!
Review: My son loved this video and watched it over and over. It kind of drove us crazy at times because we couldn't get the songs out of our heads. I think overall the video is pretty good but they could have left the puppet out from the last song. Those kind of puppets scare kids so why would they put that in a kid's video called "Baby Songs". Now we have a granddaughter who is hooked on the video. Even though she still watches her Elmo and Barney tapes, she has moved on to Baby Songs. No one dare walk in front of her when she's watching this one. I think the tunes are very catchy and after a decade we're singing these songs in our heads again! HELP!

Summary: My three old loves this movie!
Review: My three year old loves this movie! She knows all the songs by heart and begs to watch it over and over! I don't like her watching too much television but this is a program of which I do approve.

Summary: My 16-month old loves it!
Review: The catchy tunes keep him entertained throught the entire length of the video. Gives me a much-needed break during the day!

Summary: Best baby video
Review: This is a very good video as are all the babysong videos. My daughter loved this video when she was 1 and now my 1-year-old son loves it just as much. We got so much use from this video that we bought all the babysongs videos.

Summary: Hap Palmer's Best
Review: This is the best of the series. All three of my kids have loved it and the video keeps their attention throughout. I don't approve of using TV as a babysitter but this video gives me a 30 minute un-interrupted break to do laundry, cook dinner, read, or even take a short nap.

Summary: Need a "Baby" Break?
Review: This is the most wonderful video ever. As grandparents, our two year old grandson is always into something and looking for something to do. Well we received the video, and when our grandson came to visit, we had it playing on the VCR - what a scream to watch him so excited! He danced around and started singing! Whenever we need a little "down" time, we ask him if he would like to see "Baby Songs" and he gets this big grin and I know we have thirty minutes to enjoy him being a "baby", and we get to relax a little as anyone knows a two year old is a handful! Thanks Hap Palmer!

Summary: Warm visuals, but not a great attention-getter w. the kids
Review: This video is a series of original songs with (primarily) live-action videos. The music is fairly attractive for children from the age of toddler to about 5 years (maybe). The visuals are very warm and homey showing toddlers and pre-schoolers in their world laughing, playing and doing other things that toddlers / pre-schoolers usually do. Its 'feel' reminds me of the rosiness that Sesame Street exudes in its live-action clips. The video has a home-made quality which I think adds a nice touch, but is quite noticeable to those who prefer higher production quality.

My four-year-old daughter immediately picked-up on the lyrics and can sing them to herself. I wish I had 'discovered' this video for her when she was still a toddler, because the messages of many of the songs could have been useful for potty-training and separation anxiety, among other things. But, she never chooses this video to watch, because I think she has outgrown the message and appeal.

On the other hand, the video is still beyond my nine-month old daughter. She much prefers the videos of Baby Einstein & Teletubbies. I bought this video in hopes of adding diversity to what we allow her to watch, but she is just not interested in this video. We have over 100 videos (no, I do not use the VCR as a babysitter, but my kids watch no broadcast TV; and living abroad, videos provide the opportunity for English language practice and American cultural exposure). I cannot honestly say that this is a favorite of either of my children. I anticipate revisiting this video with my younger daughter with greater success when she is 15-18 months.

Summary: A family favorite!
Review: This video was played and replayed for my 2 sons and nephew. They absolutely loved to bop along when they were younger, and soon started to sing along. The lyrics are cute and fun, and the accompanying stories on the live action video were eye catching. This was a must in our VCR whenever the boys were cranky. I have a newborn, and can't wait to see if he finds it as compelling as his older brothers. It's a must have, and I've given it as gifts to all my friends with new babies.
