Review: Every year I would wait in front of the TV for the first showing of Emmett. It only came on during December on HBO. I loved it. It is a joyful rendition of a familiy christmas. The edits are a little distracting if you are familiar with the real version. Still, this is a must have video for the holidays

Review: I've been watching this masterpiece since I was 3 years old and it has been my favorite Christmas movie/show ever since. The late Jim Hensen outdid himself w/ this wonderful heartfelt Christmas movie. Thank God VCR's were invented before HBO stopped showing Emmit around Christmas. I hope this will help you future Emmit lovers to decide on buying this movie. It's a classic!

Review: I too grew up watching this movie on my own tape recorded copy. I still watch it every christmas and will continue to do so forever. I was surprised at the changes but it is still the best ever written. I sing the songs all year long, they pop into my head at random times.

Review: I hadn't seen it in about 15 years, and as soon as I started watching it, I began reciting the lines and singing along with Emmet, Harvey, Wendell and the rest of the gang. A definite classic for the Christmas season. Thanks amazon for making it so easily avaiable.

Review: This movie is a perfect example of the magical entertainment that only Jim Henson's Muppets could achieve. Kids and grownups alike can enjoy the tale of young Emmet Otter, his mother and their selfless love for each other. Delightful musical numbers, memorable characters, and a story that can still make me cry after countless viewings. This should be a perennial Christmas classic in any home -- reserve a spot on your shelf right next to It's A Wonderful Life.

Summary: Columbia/Tri-Star... Why do you mock me?
Review: I have grown up watching this movie for years on my withered old copy from HBO. This is one of the greatest muppet creations ever. Needless to say that I was extremely dissapointed to find that the video release is an edited version. Several songs had different lyrics, some parts were left out while others were added, even Kermit's voice was removed from the first chilly morning scene. I still recommend this movie to everyone, but why mess up a classic? I'm so sad , I think I will go watch my original copy now.

Review: This is just the best of all the holiday shows! I have awaited seeing it on TV every year since I was 7 and I am 27 now with children of my own! Jim Henson was a genius and he will live on with this being one of his best works... Happy holidays!

Review: I watched this movie with my son when he was little and we both loved it. Unfortunatly he was so little that he doesn't remember it anymore. He's 16 now. And now, I want it so he can share it with his two little sisters aged 3 and 5. GREAT MOVIE!
