Summary: Amazing, wonderful and flat out memorable.
Review: I have wonderfully vivid memories of this from the age of 12, when it came out, to watching it with my infant daughter. I've been hoping to find it on TV these past few years as she's only got vague memories and I miss the happy "feel-goodness" that I got from that movie. It's a timeless story that I related to as a young child with parents with limited means. It wasn't about how much you spend or what is bought, it's about sharing, caring and being with the people who are the most important to you, whether family or friends...or a frog mayor!

Summary: Every year I wait for this movie to come on television.
Review: I am a 24 year-old woman, and every year since I can remember I cannot wait for this movie to come on. The songs, the puppets, and just the meaning behind it is enjoyable enough. My favorite part in the whole movie is listening to Emmet's band and his mother combine the two songs that were sung in the contest.

Review: I am a 21 year old woman, I grew up watching this movie every year at Christmas time. Recently I married, and had a son. I am so pleased to be able to have ordered this fantastic video for him to enjoy all year long especially at the holidays. It is a must have for children and the young at heart as well. I still love this movie and as for my son, try getting him away during the movie, Ha! I think this film is the greatest, the cutest, and a classic. Don't pass this one up.

Review: As a child, I loved this Christmas tale and looked forward to watching it every year. It is no longer seen on television, but Christmas just wasn't the same without it. So now, at age 31, I was thrilled to see it available through Amazon. Now my children enjoy it as much as I do!

Review: Then buy this video! My sis ter and I remember this video fondly from when we were younger. In fact, she goes around the house singing songs from this movie every holiday season. Just goes to show you what an impact a movie released in 1977 can have on a kid. All we can say is this.....if you want a movie that is sure to become a tradition around your household, then buy this one. It is sure to be remembered among the greats such as "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "Rudolph". Two otter tails up for this heart-warming and funny flick. I must-see for kids of all ages!

Summary: Excellent Family Show
Review: This has been a favorite of mine since I was a child and now that I am having my first child I am very glad that it is available on video. This story endears you to its characters and teaches the ultimate life lessons about the kind of wealth that is worth seeking. It drives home the point that our love can be perfect even as our actions are imperfect.I am a Baha'i so I don't celebrate the cultural Christmas but I have still found so much to treasure in this little movie.

Review: I remember watching this every Christmas when I was younger. This is a family tradition and I'm so glad to find it available on video. The adorable characters, the sweet songs, and a very touching message. It has everything a Christmas story should have and it's Jim Henson! You can't beat this great story!

Review: I am 24 years old with no children, and I just ordered this video. I grew up watching it, but for some reason they haven't showed it in my area for at least six or seven years. With Christmas being so commercialized anymore, this story is refreshing!

Review: This an all-time favorite movie in our household! Christmas just wouldn't be complete without watching Emmett Otter. Jim Henson has done a terrific job in creating adorable charactors. This story line is very good an has a great message about taking chances and giving of oneself, but my favorite part is the fantastic songs in it. I am SO excited to find this video here! My current copy is quite worn out from over-use. I would recomend this for adults as well as children.

Review: Christmas should be about the spirit of kindness and fellowship and not commercialism. This Jim Henson production takes the viewer to that spirit. Warm, funny, and touching this video has it all. Henson fans will rejoice; another bunch of loveable characters to call friend! A simple tale of a family down on their luck, how they stand by each other and embrace the essence of the season. Religious beliefs aside, this video points past them all for no religion can find fault with such a good message: love, togetherness, and joy.
