Summary: Boring narrator
Review: Even though I really dislike the new narrator, my 3 year old loves these stories and the new characters. I disagree with other reviewers who think the new narrator gives different voices to all the characters. To me they all sound the same...boring and monotonous. This DVD wasnt for me, but for my son and as long as he's happy...I'm happy.

Summary: Not bad, not bad at all
Review: First off, let's discuss the "new" narrator. Michael Angelis has narrated the British version of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends since 1991 (and he still does) , when Carlin was new to the American version. He does a good job with characters like James, Thomas, Gordon, Spencer, and in fact most of his characters but his Sir Topham voice can best be described as sounding like Sean Connery after having too much to drink. Some of the episodes are slightly dull, like Peace and Quiet, and the Jack and Co. episodes introduce tons of characters in 2 episodes and hardly feature Sir Topham Hatt's engines at all! The Spotless Record has an unexplicable accident and a corny friendship ending, and the Awdrys who created the stories the show was originally based on were much better writers. Perhaps HIT will do something to honor them for the 60th anniversary of Edward, Gordon, and Henry: the oldest 'Thomas' characters.

Summary: Season 7/6
Review: Four new episodes from Season 7 and two new episodes from Season 6! First, Gordon teaches a snooty engine a lesson in 'Gordon & Spencer', then Emily takes Thomas' coaches without asking in 'Emily's New Coaches'. The next story stop is 'The Spotless Record' where Arthur has a fruity accident and next Murdoch wants some 'Peace & Quiet'. Jack is hired to the pack in 'Jack Jumps In' before last but not least Jack joins the pack in 'A Friend In Need'. This is a great video. Can't wait until March 16th!

Review: i already saw emily, spencer and murdoch. emily is a nice dark green engine with a big wheel in the middle of her. spencer is preety good engine he's a nice blue engine he's real fast to and a long engine. murdoch is a nice yellow-orange engine with a tender and emily and spencer have a tender to.

Summary: "Five New Engines In The Shed" is a good song!!
Review: I don't like the narrations, but my 3-year-old thinks it's funny that the engines talk differently from other videos. The best feature is the music video. It's very catchy. My son demands to watch it again and again, and we sing it all the time. (I can't wait for a CD that includes this song.)

Review: I Just received the tape. It is okay. but the storyteller is different!!!!!!!!! The stories are: Gordan And Spencer: The Duke and Duchess come with their engine,Spencer. They say Spencer is the fastest express engine. Spencer never stops for water.When Spencer runs out of water on a hill. Gordan rescues him. Emily's new coaches: Newly arrived Emily meets Thomas at the station. But, when she takes Annie and Clarabel by mistake, the engines are mad. When she saves thomas from a crash, she is delighted to get brand new coahes. The Spotless Record: A new tank engine, Arthur,arrives on the island and Sir topham hatt talks about his "Spotless record". To get Arthur to be naughty,Thomas pulls a trick on him. when the cars Trick Arthur, Arthur crashes.Arthur is Upset. In the end, friends are made Between Arthur and Thomas. Peace and Quiet: When there is so much work. STH brings in Mordoch, a very strong engine. All he wants is peace and quiet. When he runs into sheep, he gets annoyed.When Done with his work, he appoligies to Salty and Harvey Jack Jumps in: Jack, the loader joins Jenny Packard and "the pack". he meets Alfie the Excavator and become friends. But when jack is unsafe, Jenny has Second thoughts. A Friend in Need: The next day Jack begins to listen. he and Alfie work together. But when Ned the steam shovel breaks the bridge, jack tries to hold it up bravely. in the end, Jack is in the pack.

Review: I picked up a copy of this video at my local k-mart. I have no clue why it was out ten days early. Anyway, I've watched it a lot. The new characters are great. Arthur, Murdoch, Emily, Spencer, and Jack and the Pack. Spencer was a temporary character, which stinks, because he's cool. But the others are great too, though the Pack didn't really seem like a Thomas item. But what happened to Trevor, Terrance, George, and Bertie? Oh well. This video is great. Lots of new character, but not many old ones. By the, for those who were wondering, the narrator is Michael Angelis. He is really good, except with Sir Topham Hatt. Good Video. Hope you all enjoy it!

Review: I really really think Thomas is so so funny and some of the characters look really really cool. But "New Friends For Thomas" is such a boring Thomas DVD. All I can just say is this. Could have been better. Ditto to what rpjbrown had said well although, Thomas does jump a shark or any fish in "Finding Nemo" (my favorite movie). Well. I have to agree with what rpjbrown had said on the other things written. I was so eager in getting this DVD. I felt so excited. Well, when I heard that we had a new narrator Michael Angelis. Well. I took a peek at pictures of the characters and probably I thought I would give this 4 stars. Michael Angelis' voice was too bushy and boring. I wish they do a remake on this DVD and this time, please put Alec Baldwin into the DVD. "New Friends For Thomas" had bunch of cool characters. Probably Spencer was the coolest. Emily was dumb. Arthur looked cool. Jack and Alfie were amazing, but the character Isabel looked a whole lot like Elizabeth except she is yellow. Probably, "New Friends For Thomas" is the worst out of all Thomas DVDs. It's not really a price full of admission and you won't miss anything that happened in the DVD, but you would miss out on how cool the characters were. Cross your fingers and hope Gullane Entertainment makes a better Thomas DVD and has Alec Baldwin in it. P.S. I was not hoping for another british narrator.

Review: I Thought this movie was great but there was no real entrance of these new charecters I thought they should have a new charecter and all of the stories were focused on him. Every train never really talked to eachother but it was a cool movie
