Summary: Not the best movie ever, but good
Review: I first saw this movie when I was 5 years old, and I loved it. I was at the time absolutely crazy about horses (my greatest ambition was to own a horse myself someday.) Although I am no longer nuts about horses, I have watched the movie over again from time to time.

It's been a while since I read "Black Beauty" but as far as I can remember the movie is for the most part true to the book. The horses are beautiful, and the ending is happy.

There is one thing, however, that I must complain about. It's that the movie opens on the night of Black Beauty's birth--with the result that we must watch the actual birth of a foal. (It can be rather sickening.)

Nonetheless, this is definately a movie worth seeing. Any horse lover will be estatic about it.

Summary: GREAT ADAPTATION
Review: Horse-lovers should watch this. It is (mostly) true to the book and the horses are trained well. It goes from Beauty's birth to his final home and is told from his viewpoint and reveals the cruelty of bearing reins and the terrible hardships of a London cab horse. Highly reccomended for those OVER 10: some scenes are very sad and "real" for young children and there is a little swearing, but not much.

Summary: BLACK BEAUTY -- NOT A SEAN BEAN FILM
Review: Even though this film has Sean Bean as the star it IS NOT A SEAN BEAN film. He is in the start of the film for less than 6 minutes. It is a very tender HORSE STORY told from the point of view of the horse and his love and masters.

Summary: Beautiful movie for horse lovers, but...
Review: ...Some of the scenes were a bit much for children under the age of 10. I watched with my niece, who is nine years old. She couldn't get the image of Ginger out of her mind. That being said, this is a beautifully filmed, beautifully written movie. Whether you are young or a bit older, you will need tissues. You will run the gamut of emotions.

Summary: A movie for all ages
Review: This version of Black Beauty far outweighs it's predessessors! It's an excellent adaption of Anna Sewell's book and adds insight that is poignant and insightful. All people of all ages will be happy with this wonderful childhood story!

Summary: Cry me a river
Review: Do you have a box of tissues you don't need? Well rent this movie and you'll need it. It's so depressing! I cried through the entire movie. Rent it if you have dry eyes; these animal movies could put Visine Tears out of business!

Summary: The best movie about horses!
Review: The director did a great movie adaption of this movie with great acting by both the horses, and their humans, the art direction is beautyful, and the music is brilliant.
Black Beauty tells his dramatic life story, where he discover both touching and dramatic events, this is the perfect novie for elder kids, who adores horse movies.

Summary: Thumbs Up!
Review: Beautiful, heart-wrenching, amazing! This is an underrated masterpiece, an emotional roller coaster that will forever linger in your memory. But even though this is a children's film, use discretion as both you and they will probably be moved to tears. Who could of thought a horse could be so captivating?

Summary: Black Beauty
Review: I love that video Black Beauty and I read the book and I like the black one because he is a thoroughbred.

I think Quarter Horses are black.

In the video Black Beauty the sad part was that he fell down because, he couldn't pull the heavy load.
