Summary: The Wiggles...Yummy, Yummy for Mummy too!
Review: This is yet another quality product from Australia's favourite kid's band, The Wiggles. Both my 19 month old and I are avid fans of all of their video and audio cassettes. A favourite for the car and fantastic on video!Songs are simple, fun and encourage children to enjoy dancing as well as singing along. Appearances by Waggs the Dog and Henry the Octopus add to the excellent entertainment that keeps my daughter enthralled.(No easy task for a busy little 19 month old with the world at her feet!) Fruit Salad is a great number, teaching about cooking and, more importantly, cleaning up afterwards. The actions are easy for little ones to pick up and good for co-ordination skills whilst the song chorus is easy for little ones to pick up and sing along with. A new character, Chef, makes a special appearance on Yummy Yummy. Those Mums who are Crowded House fans will recognise the familiar face of Crowded House drummer, Paul Hester, joining in the Wiggles fun as Chef. Good on you Paul! Hot Potato, the Wiggles anthem here in Australia, also provides a funny tune that the kids have a great time dancing along to. Once again the actions to this tune are great fun and really encourage kids to get up and get grooving along! The Wiggles really throw themselves into the whole show and it's great to see four men dancing and singing their hearts out.(And obviously enjoying it too!) The Wiggles have saved my sanity and rescued me from the roundabout of children's music that becomes a chore for parents to listen to and enjoy with their children. The Wiggles have introduced us to a world of kids entertainment that is educational and fun that is guaranteed to keep your toes tapping from start to finish! Nor more yawns here, just thumbs up for The Wiggles!

Summary: Great Video
Review: Not as good as Wiggle Time, but still a great video. Gets the kids moving, or they can just sit and enjoy the songs. The Wiggles are non-threatening and fun. My 2 year old can't live without them. Her favs are "Fruit Salad" and "Crunchy Munchie Honey Cakes." My only complant: the "Shalom" song didn't seem to fit. They do a fine job singing it, but it appears a little forced into the video. As for the Puppets, they are a bit cheesey, but I've really grown to like that part of the video. You really need to develop a "Wiggles Attitude" before you appreciate the humor in that segment. As for it being scary, I can't imagine a child being scared of these puppets unless puppets in general scare them. Buy it - it's a solid tape. If you don't yet have Wiggle Time, get that first. Then your house can be like mine with a 2 year old screaming PIRATE! PIRATE DANCING!

Summary: Truly a 'Wiggles Convert'
Review: When my sister said that my then 11 month old daughter 'loved' the commercial for this DVD 'sooo much' that she just had to get it for my daughter's first birthday, I thought, 'who are the Wiggles? And what the heck is 'Yummy Yummy'?'. I now know and am, happy to say, a 'Wiggles Fan'. My daughter is now nearing 21 months, and loves this DVD. The music gets her up and dancing, and it takes merely singing the first few bars of 'Hot Potato' or 'Monkey Dance' to get her moving. What I find most enjoyable about this DVD is that, unlike the show on Playhouse Disney (which is fine in its own right), the DVD is mostly musical, save some short scripting here and there. The music and dancing are what really attract my daughter's attention, so I'm very pleased. Even if you're skeptical, give this a try. I'm now in the market for more 'Wiggles' videos. And you may surprise yourself, too. Enjoy!

Summary: We love the Wiggles
Review: Since I'm from Australia, I'm a little biased but The Wiggles are great. Their songs are catchy and all have simple dance moves that your toddler can follow along with - no more just sitting in front of a video, it's time to get up and dance.
You will never get any member of The Wiggles mixed up - they always wear the same coloured skivvy (Jeff - purple, Murray - red, Anthony - blue and Greg - yellow) or outfit appropriate to the song they are singing.
My girls love the Wiggles (ages 11 months and 2.5 years)and dance and do hand movements and clap along. They enjoy the characters that are on each of the videos - Captain Feathersword (a friendly pirate), Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus.
Thre is a bit of humour thrown in - which my girls find hilarious and laugh along at The Wiggle antics. They are fun, down-to-earth guys who really enjoy what they do and you can tell this from their videos.
This video also has one of our family favourite songs "Crunchy Munchy Honey Cakes"! It's so catchy and fun!

Summary: Yummy Yummy FUN
Review: Both of my boys (ages 4 and 1 1/2) love The Wiggles. I purchased Yummy Yummy on VHS when the Wiggles first released videos in the US, and I plan to buy the DVD version as soon as it is released. (Partly because the tape is wearing out, mostly because then I don't have to wait and rewind in order to replay.) I knew about The Wiggles before their US releases--I have relatives in Australia who introduced us to their recordings. We had only one CD, so when this video came out, we got it for something "new." We were so pleased that ever since their first US video release, we have snapped their videos up as quickly as they have been issued. This video does have the Wiggle Puppets, and I guess some people think they're creepy, but I think they're cute. My 4 year old loves them, and has since we got the video almost 2 1/2 years ago. He doesn't like the "live" version of "Point Your Fingers and Do the Twist"--he only likes the puppet version. My little one adores The Wiggles, as far as he's concerned, it appears to be the only music worth listening to, or TV programme worth watching. Put anything else on and he throws a fit. The songs on this video are lots of fun, very danceable, and very easy to learn. That's the only drawback. While the kids learn them quickly--so do the grown-ups. But I love the songs, love the video, and highly recommend it. It's YUMMY YUMMY fun for the whole family!

Summary: Entertaining to say the least!
Review: I bought this for my 9 month old grandson and he just loves it! He is now 1 year old and he comes to visit every weekend and he always looks at the TV when he comes in to see if it's playing yet. I have a rule that we watch it only once a day while he's here because otherwise, he would want to watch it a five times a a day. I have bought two other Wiggles DVD's and he doesn't have any interest in them whatsoever. I'm not sure what it is about Yummy Yummy, but he's enamored by it. The only part he does not sit still for is the magic trick scene because that is the only part of the DVD that is not accompanied by music and dancing! His grandfather and I sing along. Grandpa knows all the words to all the songs!

Summary: A Great Video Except for the Puppets
Review: My 18 month old daughter loves the Wiggles. Just mentioning the word "Wiggles" produces a big ole smile and sends her little feet and hands into a frenzy! She loves watching all her videos over and over and over and this one is no exception. As soon as the tune "Fruit Salad" starts in the begining, she runs over to the TV and gets ready to wiggle. The only time she runs in the other direction is when the eerie Wiggle puppets "dance their fingers and do the twist". She'll actually start to walk away (and cry) when "Shaky, Shaky" starts playing because she knows the creepy puppets are next. However, she does not have the same reaction to the puppets singing "Go Captain Feathersword, Ahoy!" I figure it's not so much the puppets that creep her (and me) out - it's the way that part of the video was made. It's like scary high-pitched Wiggle puppets do flashy Euro house music and it just doesn't work. Well, it doesn't work for me or my child. Still, that's no reason not to buy the "Yummy, Yummy" video. It's still the Wiggles. Just be prepared to fast-forward over certain spots.

Summary: My 3-month-old loves this one!
Review: A friend of mine gave me this video along with a stack of others and when I first saw it, I thought it was the hokiest video I'd ever seen. After my 3 month old had watched every "Baby Einstein" video made, I finally decided to pop this one in and you should have heard the squeals of delight! He sat in his bouncy chair and bounced, laughed and squealed so much I had to call my husband in to come see it! We could not believe how much he loved this group of 4 guys who looked like star treck rejects to us. His favorite character is Dorothy the Dinosaur. Now that we've watched it several times it's even got me dancing along and picking the baby up to "point our fingers and do the twist!" I would highly recommend this video for even the youngest of viewers!

Summary: Buy "Wiggle Time" instead
Review: Although my 2 year son loves The Wiggles, the "Yummy Yummy" video is not that great. If you have "Wiggle Time" then don't waste your money with "Yummy Yummy." There are only 2 or 3 songs that are good, like "Fruit Salad" (which is also in "Wiggle Time") and "Cruchy Munchy Honey Cakes." And like a previous reviewer stated, the "Shalom" song really doesn't fit.
Second, they added in the video these goofy creepy-looking puppets that are suppose to look like the Wiggles themselves and when the puppets sing they have a high-pitched voice. Really annoying. And these puppets show up 2 times (that I remember) during the video. They don't bother my son, but it doesn't keep his attention either.
Third, the video is not that long. "Wiggle Time" is longer and has more songs. And some of the songs on this video are the same ones on "Wiggle Time."
And finally, my son loves the Wiggles but my husband can't stand them (of course I don't buy the tapes for husband) and there is a song in the video where the Wiggles dance around like ballerinas...or as my husband says...they look like a bunch of "fairies" (to which my husband doesn't want my son exposed to). Summary: Worth it for Fruit Salad, Hot Potato, D.O.R.O.T.H.Y...
Review: Yes, you see the clips for these songs a lot on the Playhouse Disney show. But they are my 2-year-old's favorites, and its nice to have them on hand so I can play them whenever he wants. He loves dancing to the songs. He loves Greg's magic and says the magic word -- "ala-zam" -- right along with him. As for the puppet issue, I agree they are pretty freaky, but they don't bother my son at all, so I guess they're okay.
